Vinomofo Wine Deals

Both are lovely wines, great for drinking now or over the next 5 years. Seriously tempted to grab some more of the cab (2012 shiraz is sold out) and even the 2013 shiraz. Both are beautifully balanced and left us wanting more. The cab is more medium weight, excellent fruit, appealed more to some who tried it. The shiraz is a little bigger, but also softened out by the oak treatment - it was interesting to me that it was more like some of the Heathcote shirazes than other Bendigo/Harcourt ones like Balgownie or Sutton Grange. Both highly recommended and absolute bargains.
I thought the label/winery seemed familiar, had to trawl through my old site archives, I bought a dozen of the 2002 Sandhurst Ridge Shiraz @ $17.99pb from Grays in 2011 as part of their clearance of wines from the failed Heritage Fine Wines investment scheme. Not the greatest bargain, but I enjoyed the wines.

Thanks for the tasting notes, mentioning Heathcote likeness had my ears pricked and I ordered 2013 Sandhurst Ridge Shiraz (splitting a dozen with a friend). Noted that Alc./Vol. is14.7% and it has gone up from 14% from now sold out 2012 vintage. Will report once I try it.

Dear Wine buffs - please let me know if i should post this in another thread, but:

Who has good suggestions for reasonable Central Otago Pinot Noir, that doesn't cost the earth?

Prophet's Rock Rocky Point at about $35 is the best I can do recently, wondering if anything in the $25-35 bracket?

Thanks!
Just saw this one on VM for $16 Bendigo Hills Pinot Noir 2018 but never had it so not sure re quality.

Does anyone have any idea on this Tassie sparkling? I’ve got an event coming up that needs some bubbles, hoping this is something worth drinking.

Chartley Estate Lavinia

I’ve only had their Pinot, it was amazing.

I’ve had 1 Chartley Estate sparkling - it was vintage but only about 4 or 5 years old, and was flat  (not suggesting these would be but it has put me off the brand)

Hi guys, tempted to order this one

Wondering if this could be one of those $90 Hasselgrove shiraz|

The ambassador reads " A generous portion of new French oak compliments the rich and full bodied mix of dense red fruits." but cannot find 2019 and the closure is cork as well

Most likely Haselgrove The Lear as it was offered earlier this year.

It is (the Lear) and it is (IMHO, definitely worth it). A drop above my pay grade at anything like full price, but it's smooth and rich (mind you, I'm a middleweight shiraz person) and going to get even better
Thanks for that, I pulled a trigger on it. It seem to have mixed reviews as I searched for it - will see how it goes.

Did they have 2018? On their website they still selling 2017 Lear. They must have just bottled 2019 vintage if the aged it for 18 months in oak.

Yes, I bought 2018 @ $27 and didn't send it back, also bought and kept 2014 and 2015, sent back one, not sure if it was 2016 or 2017. Haven't jumped on 2019 though, too many other deals around.
The 2019 was first offered 01 December 2020, #36767 pre-arrival
