Too true, so many good deals around, I never had any Lear before so pulled a trigger on that one. Might be too green to try if it is a big wine.
I just received 2013 Sandhurst Bendigo Shiraz from VM and it has a screwcap enclosure FWIW. Haven’t tried it yet, most likely will try over the weekend and will report back.At least it's Diam and not "natural" cork!
Has anyone tried this?I can't find a relevant Winestate review, the site search there is pretty dreadful. But my best guess is James Haselgrove 'Futures' Shiraz 2018 - Nick Haselgrove Wines SA
From ANZ Wine Show 2020Any ideas what this Margs cab is?

Deep, rich red colour with some brick-red tinges and next to no purple remaining. The wine is big and ballsy, with a lot of character. A burst of mocha from raunchy oak handling, and some charred vegetables. 95 Huon Hooke points
If that sounds like your thing you can call them 1800 663 419
Under cork too, adds to the variability. But cork-willing these are long-lived wines.I would be careful buying old(er) wine. It could be on its last legs and also there is little information as how it was cellared. Of course you can return them if any issues.

As someone who buys a lot of aged wines, I don't share those concerns. I would have a problem with 1 in 10,000 bottles.I would be careful buying old(er) wine. It could be on its last legs and also there is little information as how it was cellared.
Thanks RB. Very unusual for Gallaghers to only have 12m in oak as. Usually minimum 18-24 months in oak followed by a couple years bottle b4 release. The vintage was supposed to be good so a bit confused why they cut it short / went cheap and possibly changed the style. From ANZ Wine Show 2020
