Vinomofo Wine Deals

Well overpriced at $90 and I think $40-50 would be fair. A lot of the Bec Hardy and Pertaringa lines were made for export and that RRP is probably the exported price

Thank you - convinced me to buy!
Haven't perused here for months as I am half way through my six month, buy nothing wine buying embargo. I reckon I missed a beaut here however, the past few months have allowed me to put a good dent in the stocks. Come July 1 I will be looking for an olympicwiz review !!

Could this be the Henry's Road Magnus Shiraz? Seems to match the '14 and '15 vintage descriptions from last year. If so, I found this wine to be one of my best purchases from VM.

Price, Wine advocate scores and nearly two years in new French oak line up. So does Alcohol Percent 15.10%

2017 Vintage Longbottom Henry’s Drive Magnus Shiraz
94 Points

The 2017 Henry's Drive Magnus Shiraz was sourced from Padthaway (78%) and McLaren Vale (22%). It kicks off spicy and oaky, with notes of cracked pepper and caramel vying with blackberries on the nose. That's followed by a plush, full-bodied palate layered with nuances of vanilla, blueberries and blackberries. Hints of anise and mint peek through on the long, silky finish, adding yet more complexity.

I think it is this one?

You trust Vintage Cellars??? Or DM or any of the Chains sites? They are notorious for incorrect info in listings. VM are amateurs in comparison in making those sort of mistakes.

The Halliday TN notes 14% for the Bos 2006.
Received it earlier today, confirming it is the Renschke Bos 2006

Would crack a bottle this weekend to try as they are under cork so hopefully are well

Just tried one now. Very full-bodied with notes of raisin. Great value for the price!
Opened a bottle and agree with your notes, I think that this wine probably won't get any better as the fruits are on the down. My cork was in perfect shape and condition for anyone concerned about cork closure.

Just got this from my VM broker FYI

This family-run winery has handcrafted wine in many of Australia's premium wine regions since the late 1800s. Four generations of winemaking mastery later, they are now one of the most awarded wineries in the world and have been crowned 'International Winemaker of the Year' a record amount of times.

This wine represents their pinnacle of wine making in South Australia and is, what they refer to as, their answer to Penfolds Grange.

The stunning presentation of these bottles is also worth noting. The glass is thick, the bottle is incredibly heavy and the wine is sealed under wax-dipped cork. No expenses spared, inside or out.

Stocks are extremely limited (especially the 2010), so let me know ASAP to ensure you don't miss out!

1. Black Market Cabernet Shiraz Blend 2010

Cabernet Sauvignon 60%, Shiraz 40%

97 Points, James Halliday, Wine Companion

9/10 Vintage Rating - James Halliday, Wine Companion

The nose on the 2010 is incredibly complex from the outset with intense aromas of ripe blackcurrant, fresh tobacco and seasoned leather. Impressive fruit concentration and drive on the palate while maintaining a sense of elegance and finesse. Time has treated this wine incredibly well, and it's luxurious, velvety tannins are a testament.

Halliday also quotes the 'Drink By' date as 2040 - that's nearly another 20 years of healthy cellaring!

Oak Treatment: 2 years in French and American oak

Cellaring: Until 2040

2010

Down from $150 /btl to $59.90 in 6 packs

(This wine is due for dispatch from the warehouse next week, 15/04)

2. Black Market Cabernet Shiraz Blend 2013

Cabernet Sauvignon 55%, Shiraz 45%

95 Points - James Halliday, Wine Companion

94 Points - Campbell Mattinson, The Wine Front

Campbell Mattinson called the 2013 "heroic", a word that I think sums up this wine perfectly.

Bigger and more powerful than the 2010, the 2013 is an absolute beast. Rich with ripe blackberry and blood plum with undeniable layers of dark chocolate, espresso, toast and asphalt. Big, pounding tannins do well to contain the magnitude of the wine in this bottle, and the incredible weight of the glass itself is a hint at what you'll find inside.

Still flaunting its grunty youthful masculinity, this wine will happily cellar for decades to come.
