I was trying to see and just realised ...Leeuwin Estate Senior Winemaker Tim Lovett.

Tim Lovett was one of my best friends at High School, I'm Facebook friends with him still and I knew he was a wine maker but never actually checked where he worked 🤣🤣🤣.

Just checked Facebook, and confirmed lives in Margaret River now 😄

It would be serious value if they were offloading their Art Series Cab at $25....
Guessing, but I would expect it is more likely to be their Siblings Series stuff, but with some exaggeration as to the RRP...?

Suspect it's a different winery - will let you know when it turns up. $144 after $15 off with HY15VI and Cashrewards cash back of $10.80 makes it $22.20 a bottle all up, which seems like good value either way

VM are normally pretty good at aligning the original price they quote with what's available direct through the winery.
 
I don't think lucluc was saying his friend made that wine - just that he stumbled across his details while trying to work the wine out? He hasn't said he worked it out.

Art Series cab is rrp79 on the Leeuwin site

I did wonder if that wine was the Heydon WG Grace, which VM had previous vintages of, with 75rrp

Tough one with little detail. So, hear me out. I think it could be V18 of Gladstones Cabernet Sauvignon.
  • The V16 is selling on their site for $75.
  • Gladstones Cabernet Sauvignon is single vineyard.
  • Accolade who own Houghton have been pushing through some of their other brands via Vinomofo including the V17 Gladstones. Houghton Gladstones Cabernet Sauvignon 2017

Well it's 2018 for a start :)

Gladstones are typically given a 25-30 yr drinking window, that wine is described as 'to 2033', so quite a bit shorter, which would be unusual considering how good that vintage was.

Heydon Estate W.G Grace
High quality producer, next to Vasse Felix and Thompson Estate. Wine made my Mark Messenger (Juniper Estate).
Nice wine. Original owners recently sold business and new owners are rebranding.
