Vinomofo Wine Deals

Received this email from my VM broker today - might be of interest to some people here

I am very impressed with Pirramimma in general

Your Wine Dealer touching base again, I hope you're well!

Just getting in touch today to let you know about some new McLaren Vale wines from Pirramimma!
A five star Halliday rated producer that we've been lucky enough to work closely with over the last 6 months, Pirramimma were awarded Best Australian Wine Producer for the third consecutive year at the 2017 AWC Vienna International Wine Challenge!
The first wine is a new one which we are extremely lucky to get our hands on - the very rare, limited edition 'Heritage' Shiraz (INSANE value this one!). The second is a new vintage of the super-premium, flagship 'War Horse' Shiraz coming from the outstanding 9/10 rated 2017 vintage. And thirdly, I wanted to let you know that we've restocked on the hugely popular, very premium ACJ Cabernet blend 2017.

If you're interested in knowing what else we have in stock from Pirramimma just let me know. I currently have a great selection ranging from excellent value mid-week priced reds to heavily discounted premiums.

1. Pirramimma Heritage Limited Edition Shiraz 2016 (pre-arrival)

This rare Limited Edition release from Pirramimma is crafted from the very best fruit rows grown in the low-yielding "War Horse" and "Ironstone" blocks, each planted in the 1950's.
An aromatic bouquet of bright, lifted blueberry, black cherry and spicy plum are dominant with oaky characteristics of vanilla bean, black pepper and mocha. The concentrated palate carries blackberry, liquorice and dark chocolate, a hint of black pepper and toasty vanilla and cedar. Drinking fantastically with potential to evolve well over the next 15 years at least.

Alcohol: 14.8%
Cellaring: Drink now until 2038

Just $15 /btl down from $50 RRP in dozens
Expected to dispatch from our warehouse next Friday the 25th of June
Buy is my recomendation.

Are you familiar with the Heritage Shiraz? I am hesitant since they are making you to buy 12 bottles.

I have had both their $70RRP Shiraz and Warhorse - interestingly I found ACJ to be the best out of the lot.
I am. It's very good.

I also had their Heritage Grenache recently. Also excellent.

I will note that I am big fan of Pirramimma wines and have been for quite some time.

Drinking well now - I am down to 3 in my pack
It actually is on eBay..! And with their 20% off, looks like a half-decent deal. $29.20/btl.
Looks like a number of the Pirramimma are on there.

Haven't tried the ACJ before. Might throw in a Warhorse too for good measure.
What's the pick?

Vino has had some solid deals, and I'm trying to decide what to buy!

I spent alot on Clarendon Hills yesterday, and anyways BWS is bound for a CB soon and that'll be 1k.

I don't know how people do it, doesn't anyone have a family? Hahaha I'm single but the amounts I'm spending is ridiculous 😬

Thanks Doc- "Buy is my recomendation."

Had a $30 voucher & Freight free, bargain @ 12.50ea delivered!

Does anyone know why Pirramimma is constantly on sale? They’ve been on Grays for a long time. Do they just inflate their rrp? I note they are a Halliday 5 star winery so it doesn’t make a lot of sense to me.

This is their preferred method of sale. Has been for many years

So over inflated rrp? Surly you don’t discount if you can receive rrp.
There are number of other wine producers doing the same thing consistently - Maverick, Sorby Adams, Curtis, CW Wines, Pertaringa, Ulithorne just off the top of my head so it is neither revolutionary nor it is a prohibited practice.

As @Dr Ralph said before, the quality of Pirramimma is of high standard and having purchased Warhourse, Low Trellis Ironstone Shiraz and ACJ - I can vouch there. Particularly with ACJ I can even see the justification of a $100 price tag as to my taste it deserves it.

At some point ACCC may have to look at this practice as people who purchase these wines directly from the wineries are paying full prices unaware of this practice and would rightly feel cheated.
