All g. Had to get some of that ACJ...couldn't resist given it seems well-rated and genuinely on sale for $80-100 around the traps. And this is despite my being thoroughly overloaded with plonk due to recent purchasing splurges. Someone please stop me!Sorry - must have put a wrong link!
It is a weird blend on paper, but works so well when you actually try it. Must be the first time I tried Tannat in a blend!Had to get some of that ACJ
CW School House Headmaster Cabernet SauvignonCabernet Sauvignon 2019 – Black Market Deal #38616
Age-worthy, award-winning Coonawarra cabernet for $15? Is this for real?assets.vinomofo.com
Hi, does anyone know what Deal 38616 might be?
This seems correct, but I'm querying the point ratings on it. It seems the general opinion (see Cellartracker) is very different compared with the 2013 version. Also checked my copies of the 2018 and 2019 Halliday guide; the 2012 doesn't feature in the books.Hi everyone!
Thinking that this:
Cabernet Shiraz 2012 – Black Market Deal #38398
Is there anything more quintessentially Aussie in the wine world than a South Australian cab shiraz? And is there anything better than a VERY highly-pointed ...www.vinomofo.com
is the 2012 vintage of McGuigan The Philosophy. Seems to have the same VM description as the 2013 Philosophy from memory. Anyone agree/disagree?
It is in the 2017 edition of the book. This seems correct, but I'm querying the point ratings on it. It seems the general opinion (see Cellartracker) is very different compared with the 2013 version. Also checked my copies of the 2018 and 2019 Halliday guide; the 2012 doesn't feature in the books.

Definitely there as 95pts in online Wine CompanionThis seems correct, but I'm querying the point ratings on it. I tried 2 bottles of 2013 vntage and thought it was a superbly made wine. That was the basis of my decision to buy more of 2012 vintage (could not care less as to what so called critics say). This seems correct, but I'm querying the point ratings on it. Currently available via Winestar:Looks like no stock of Ironstone Shiraz at the moment.
Anything you would compare it to? I was gifted a bottle of the 2010 recently which I haven't opened yet and the 2012 was tempting with the recent $35 off codeI tried 2 bottles of 2013 vntage and thought it was a superbly made wine. That was the basis of my decision to buy more of 2012 vintage (could not care less as to what so called critics say).
VM also sold 2010 vintage via their brokers.
Worth noting that it has a diam enclosure for a peace of mind.
You seem to be an expert on this winery, which do you recommend? I can't buy all of themCurrently available via Winestar:

It's a good wine. I got some earlier this year. I would buy more if it were closer to $20 a bottle. Which it has been before via stacking discount codes or via Grays. Although I can't see any options to get the price lower at present.
it would hold its head high and proud against 389 - I would dare to suggest it would at least be on a par with it. (only comparing to 2015 389 I had recently)Anything you would compare it to?
Completely agree and better than a 2017 389 for me. (Albeit I think the 2017 is too young for a fair comparison)it would hold its head high and proud against 389 - I would dare to suggest it would at least be on a par with it. (only comparing to 2015 389 I had recently)

Not an expert, but I am a fan and have bought their wines for a number of years. I think they represent good value. They do have an extensive range (Pirramimma Wines - Wines). I visited the cellar door for the first time about 10 years ago.You seem to be an expert on this winery, which do you recommend? I can't buy all of them

Recently I have purchased the War Horse, ACJ and White label cabernet sauvignon at good prices
I do like their white label range. I think at around $10 a bottle it represents excellent value. Grays have historically had this range and over the last 5 years I've enjoyed the merlot, tannat, petit verdot, grenache and shiraz.
I've been trying to get some of this as I've never tried it:

I plan to order the ACJ, I ordered the Heritage and I recall recently you saying you bought 3-5 cases of one of their wines for around $11 which seemed like it could be a go!
Any thoughts on the 2012 vintage (or have you not opened it yet)? Might consider getting some if it's good!I tried 2 bottles of 2013 vntage and thought it was a superbly made wine. That was the basis of my decision to buy more of 2012 vintage (could not care less as to what so called critics say).
