Vinomofo Wine Deals

The so

The sour taste lingers longer when you are disapponted going from 90 to 35 than from 45 to 20 however the Fo returns policy is supurb.
Dru Reschke is a man of his word. About six years ago, the Resche Angels somrthing Riesling was being flogged off by Grays and i ended up buying 24, all up for about $125. In the days leading upto this this, i emailed Dru and said would he guarantee his wine for me such that if I didn't like it, i could get my money back. We remember that this 'guarantee' does not apply to Grays. if the wine is off, fine, but not if it's not as compared to the Fo. So i had a bottle and didnt like it. Four months later, I had to chase him up a few times, direct deposit from Dru of $125 and i kept the wine. Didnt really enjoy the gasolene aspect of this riesling. But a man of his word so respect. Rieslings and the smell of benzene is worthy of a book or two in itself. i find it distracting if its too much.
I don't know if Dru is involved any more, the new owners are CW Wines, Reschke liquidated and sold.

Maybe anything that you can't find in traditional retail outlets is cult?

Have to say their Fat of the Land Ebenezer Shiraz is excellent. Big and powerful.
Yeah, they make some pretty decent reds across a few price points including $100+, but I've never seen them on a "cult" list.

Has anyone seen any of their (first drop) shiraz - Fat of the Land on VM?
As far as I can see, this is the first "First Drop" wine on VM. The main mention on my Forum is a report of how hopeless the Cellar Door was back in October 2017...
I think they do a version of Mothers Milk at CD in a white-painted milk-bottle shaped bottle...

Cheers, "milk bottle" sounds gimmicky indeed....

It's a Collab with Henley Farm, anyone has more information? Of there is any.

"Made for mof_". Used to be "Art of War - The General, 2012 and 2014 made by Kym Teusner.

Hentley Farm make some pretty good wines, usually "fully priced" for the quality, never been tempted by this though. Only one report on my Forum, for 2012 vintage "cracking wine" but probably no relevance to this offering.

The Art of War is well rated on Vivino, I assume by VM buyers.

Hentley does make very good wine indeed.

There seems to be quite a few Heathcote wines on the website at thew moment.
Does anyone know what this might be?

In case anyone is interested, I bought the Carlei Green Stephen Thompson Shiraz 2018.
On opening was really impressed, smooth, full shiraz but within 10 minutes in the glass it had gone slightly thin and acidic. Unusually the bottle didn't get finished, so others had a similar experience. Not sure whether to cellar or return. Would be interested on others views.
Still looking to find a Heathcote Shiraz to replace the Tattiara, which is no longer made (thanks Olymicwiz for advising).
Maybe this one - it sounds interesting

Search here for 39261, it's on the prior page in this thread.
