Vinomofo Wine Deals

It turned out my “Sophia” were damaged in transit. VM had resend a case.

I'm expecting my delivery for the Sophia tomorrow. Hope it all goes ok! Hopefully the condition is ok too as I returned a 2011 Sophia I bought from DMs as it was corked. Just couldn't pass on this VM deal!

Don't know, but it is 100% accurate, so has access to internal VM site details. Best not to ask too many questions.

You were lucky, I only bought 1 bottle, didn’t track, denied CB after the 60 day ‘investigation’. Not happy.
I'd try again with CB. I recently did that on the basis that none of their stock answers seemed likely right and they hadn't given me the actual reasons the vendor had supplied for declining, so I didn't have any info to go on in order to avoid a repeat. And of course I said that the availability of CB was the difference between my purchasing and not (just as a hint at the consumer law side of this). They 'reappealed' with vendor and I seem to have the money...

But of course, write the email quickly and move on - life is short!

PRE-ARRIVAL: Cabernet Sauvignon 2002 – Black Market Deal #40723

$59.90?

“Stand up and take notice, mof_s! We have a 19-year old vintage of a wine that Robert Parker considers to be the benchmark amongst Coonawarra cabernets. You won’t see this again, not here, not anywhere. I’ve tasted this exact wine a few times over the years and know that it’s not only in its drinking prime, but has a few years ahead of it. It’s that kind of wine...super dense with deeply concentrated fruit and a tannin structure to allow it to develop and mellow over a couple of decades. I’m not sure if we’ve ever had a wine with this much age and status before here at the ‘Fo. And I’m not sure we ever will again. What a find!”

Thanks Payney82, never heard of them but will google. Cheers
Not a great review in JH, 92 points, quite a worked style, right price and area for that wine, but can't compare the alcohol as not quoted by VM, but think you are right on the wine.
