Vinomofo Wine Deals

How about this one? Presumably another overinflated RRP
First drop dragons blood. I'm pretty sure there is a tasting note in this thread on the wine being lacklustre.

Chinese export rrp

View attachment 284731Any thoughts? First time post so sorry if I have missed this before.
Chateau Yaldara 1847 Grand Pappy Cabernet Shiraz.
I don't have any personal tasting notes but would be interested if anyone on here has some? It has been around for a while and I think it was part of a mixed case recently (The Boss?) si some may have tried it.
It appears to be a grossly overpriced item designed for the Chinese market and now listed at $50 which is probably a more realistic price!

Ordered some and had a bottle last night. Very good. Thinking of getting more, if still available.
I have rarely ventured out of the international borders of our great continent in my explorations into the taste worlds of the fermented grape juice so i would be very happy to get your wine adjectives and personal nuances into the taste profile of this highly scored and decantered French example. I mean mon ami yesterday was bastille Day and to honour ze tradition maybe I could see Tom Hanks with is bows and arrows at the end of a potential sale. Saw Tom in Elvis this Monday night at forest hill hoyts and the fillem was magnificent messieur. But give me and all of us who no doubt have just woken up at sparrows what this tastes like. Is it more pinot that light shiraz, is it more oak than fruit, more cherry than plums. I take your word more than Sam Kim Thakrar ! But it has more regalia than my old Grandfather who fought so many battles in his mind. Serioulsly, looking forward to a comparison with Aussie like wines and I know you know your stuff as a punter who loves only Chateau Cask would not be buying croissants and a Bordeaux like this unless he knew his taste world. Cheers. My real worry is that is is too light but saying that if its Pinot like and light, it can have 'body and presence' as it were. I hate cordial but I like to be cordial.

Signed up the better half and nabbed a sixer of the Rosenvale S 2020 after loving the previous one which may have been the 2016. I think the nett was $88 for 6. Like the frog stuff a great price point after all perks but I just had to be patriotic. Cue Edith Piaf . Non je ne regret rien mon legionnaires la vie en rose. And i do like a grenache rosay. Off the wagon for a short time and it feels good.

It is pretty good. Had it yesterday. Quite possibly way too young but was very enjoyable nevertheless

Not sure I understand this. He received an incorrect wine and rightfully pointed it out to the seller. Given it is VM who are known for a good customer service - the issue was rectified. I don't get a comment of the self-pity.
That observation was never up for debate. It was a tongue in cheek acknowledgement of that very specific and rather simple resolution ….. and the rather unnecessary and irrelevant griping of several others including non-VM experience(s).

Taking a “Stacks on” approach has never solved any issues, apart from… well, one. Maybe. You’re all welcome to disagree, it’s a right and a privilege.
