Vinomofo Wine Deals

I see that they have a DOCG Barolo on special at the moment

That's a pretty amazing deal for DOCG Barolo. Anyone tried this particular offering?

Yes I think this is a good deal especially with some sort of code and CR. I picked up a bunch of the 2015 which was similarly priced. It's good it just needs a longer lay down currently. I also got some of the 2017 Cerretta which is their top label.

Very reputable small producer from the Serralunga commune.

2017 wasnt as good a vintage generally in Barolo as 2015 and 2016 but Ettore Germano Barolos from this vintage have been very well scored.

This probably needs a very very long decant to open up and be fully approachable now (2-6hrs maybe more) and will benefit cellaring for another 5-10 years before hitting its peak.

Wine Enthusiast 95
Jancis Robinson 17 - This is a very good score (qualifies as superior on her scale)

Not sure I know what you mean.... (2 x 6-packs gets a higher discount than just one)?

Sorry, that want very clear. I mean seach on the vinomofo site by pack size/value rather than individual bottle value.

When I have vouchers I am looking for the individual bottles or small packs to capitalise.

Hi ***,

You'll never guess what this week is... it's International Shiraz Week!
Well, technically Wednesday is International Shiraz Day, but I think Australia's most popular grape deserves a whole week.

To celebrate, I've pulled some strings for you and organised some exclusive offers on some of our best Shiraz on hand. But not only that...

For 24 hours only, buy 2 or more cases of anything below and I'll drop the prices for you! ... And it doesn't have to be 2 of the same, you're more than welcome to mix and match
🙂

The info came in one of those "exclusive" broker-based emails that listed three different shirazes and seems to offer an opportunity to grab a "bargain", don't know if they have been released on the VM Black Market yet but if you purchase multiple packs of the Irvine for example the price drops to $15.50 a bottle, hope that helps...

Can anyone identify this and is the huge discount worth a look?!

1847 | Chateau Yaldara 1847 Grand Pappy's Barossa Valley Shiraz

VM been pushing it for at least 3 months now.

appears to be

Reschke Bull Trader Shiraz 2013

It has the exact same description as the 2012, so assuming it's just a vintage later.
I think you're right.

I got 2 cases. Was impressd with the 2012.

Don't forget the AMEX cash back offer for those that have it. Worked out under $10 a bottle for me using that offer.

Agreed, I've been very impressed with these cellar releases from Reschke (Bull Trader '12, Rufus Cab '11, Coonawarra Cab '10). Really can't go past them for the price, especially with a voucher!

Thanks, went in on this after your feedback.

For $10/bottle with 9 years on it, will be chuffed for even a weeknight quaffer.

Haven't had any amex update offers in ages. What offers I've got are garbage. I'll hang out a bit in-case one comes along.
