Vinomofo Wine Deals

Was in Margaret River 6 years ago - last winery I went to was Churchview - knew nothing about it at the time - tried a good range of their wines - found them so so ( my taste buds at the time) but the GSM was a knockout - bought 2 bottles at $35 a pop and never regretted it - Of the 16 or so wineries I went to Sandalford was no 1 for my taste buds closely followed by Howard Park - The Churchview GSM was the favourite affordable wine I tried at that time closely followed by the Sandalford Estate Shiraz but the number one was Howard Park Abercrombie ( partner bought me for one bottle my birthday for $85 reduced from a $100 - I think its a lot more now at the winery)

The Pavlov Dog inside me is getting quite excited. I have a week off so delivery to work should ensue soon, so the wait will continue. Next Saturday night promises a biggie, a Virgin Sacrifice so I will post in the appropriate forum. I have worded up the lads that doing a mini vertical does not mean something out of the kama sutra.

if you're interested in getting some more it can usually be had for around $65-$70 from Langtons auctions

Any ideas on this Grenache? https://vinomofo.com/wines/red-wine...BM+Shiraz+15&utm_medium=email&cluid=AU-505885

Kilikanoon Prodigal matches for Halliday stats - price, rating, 5 red star producer and alcohol content.

That's what I came up with as well. I haven't found any reviews, but at the price thinking about pressing boom.

Today's 2012 Barossa mourvedre ($38 down to $19) seems to match up with Flaxman Mataro - VM being tricky with using alternate grape names?

Looks more like Atlas Wines 2012 Barossa Mourvedre. Not as sneaky.

Any ideas on the 2008 Adelaide Hills Shiraz today, $11 down from $30. Thought it might be from The Lane given the more expensive back vintages VM have had recently, but can't see anything they make in that price range.

It's either a wine that has no reviews, or got bad reviews. Ten Miles East made a 2008 shiraz at a $30 RRP, which got an 84 from Halliday.
Alternatively, if it has no reviews and no description, I wouldn't pay $1 for this, let alone $11...

This Pinot Noir is the Matahiwi Estate Reserve Selection 2016. Young, but a really good value NZ Pinot for $11.50 IMHO.

Thanks to BC20, tiger8888, Steady and W&D for the head ups on the Giants Steps 2014 Merlot - it's excellent. Also to sagittariusdrake for the tip on the Hewitson Minimal Intervention Sangiovese 2015 enjoying it and picked up their Tempranillo too.
