So, I know there's a thread for Amex so apologies, but looking at buying from VM using the $60 off Amex deal it says: "Excludes transactions made through a third party establishment or payment processor." Does anyone know if using CB (currently 8.5%) would negate the Amex deal?

It is my understanding that it should be fine to use CB and get AMEX offer

I don't see an issue - you aren't making the transactions through CB? Believe it's more related to payment providers where vinomofo isn't recognised as the initiating merchant (I.e. PayPal, afterpay, etc).

At least I don't recall running into issues before using cash back and these terms are standard?

It won't be a problem. Neither will using codes.

Both of these matters come up in the AMEX credits thread. If you're not already following it, you could be missing out on deals/valuable information.

Nothing that really stands out to me, and I'm trying to save.

It's a good deal tho $300 - 20% = $240 plus $60 back = $180
Too risky to use a code.
