I've had Sorby Adams The Thing (can't remember the vintage) previously and thought it was fairly forgettable which isn't good considering the RRP is north of $100I see that VM are selling the Sorby Adams "The Reverend Canon” Shiraz 2018 at $17.50/btl.
Any opinions?
Ditto re The Thing. Quite a formidable bottle with impressive wax sealing but quite underwhelming IMHO. Maybe it really needs to age or maybe it’s just my misunderstanding of cooler climate Eden Valley shiraz.I've had Sorby Adams The Thing (can't remember the vintage) previously and thought it was fairly forgettable which isn't good considering the RRP is north of $100

I bought the 2017 and thought it was quite solid for $17.50 a bottle (comes in a dozen). Nice body and fairly astringent, can potentially cellar into something decent I thought.I see that VM are selling the Sorby Adams "The Reverend Canon” Shiraz 2018 at $17.50/btl.

Thanks, Petec. There was an offer like this on my Platinum AmEx card earlier this year, but I cannot locate one at present. What card do you have? I purchased VM gift cards to take advantage of the offer back then, then used them later when bargains eventually came up. Didn't take long to use them! There's a current Amex offer of spend $299 get $70 back so check your cards.
Appeared on my charge and supp card too. Decided to go all in on Reschke Empyrean where VINO gave a a further $40 off. Btw, where do you get VM gift cards from? Thanks, Petec. I have purchased before and received the cash back. But the site currently appears not to be working as I can't complete the checkout. Although this may be because I am currently OS - I also can't access the vinomofo facebook page. And do they definitely activate the AMEX cash back?
Yes, the AmEx offer is legit. I used it successfully with my Platinum Card, and I have since discovered it is available for my Green and Gold business cards. Spend $300 or more on VM and $70 will be automatically refunded subsequently. This offer should be apparent if you explore your AmEx website and look under your card's recent transactions or search the "Amex offers", but yo must "add" it to your card before the transaction. AmEx is just that little bit sneaky about it!I have purchased before and received the cash back. But the site currently appears not to be working as I can't complete the checkout.
