I've had Sorby Adams The Thing (can't remember the vintage) previously and thought it was fairly forgettable which isn't good considering the RRP is north of $100

Ditto re The Thing. Quite a formidable bottle with impressive wax sealing but quite underwhelming IMHO. Maybe it really needs to age or maybe it’s just my misunderstanding of cooler climate Eden Valley shiraz.

I bought the 2017 and thought it was quite solid for $17.50 a bottle (comes in a dozen). Nice body and fairly astringent, can potentially cellar into something decent I thought.

I purchased VM gift cards to take advantage of the offer back then, then used them later when bargains eventually came up. Didn't take long to use them!

Appeared on my charge and supp card too. Decided to go all in on Reschke Empyrean where VINO gave a a further $40 off. Btw, where do you get VM gift cards from?

Edit: Oh I re-read your comment - take advantage of the offer by buying gift cards from the VM site and then use gift cards whenever you want. Nice tip!

I have purchased before and received the cash back. But the site currently appears not to be working as I can't complete the checkout. Although this may be because I am currently OS - I also can't access the vinomofo facebook page.

Yes, the AmEx offer is legit. I used it successfully with my Platinum Card, and I have since discovered it is available for my Green and Gold business cards. Spend $300 or more on VM and $70 will be automatically refunded subsequently. This offer should be apparent if you explore your AmEx website and look under your card's recent transactions or search the "Amex offers", but yo must "add" it to your card before the transaction. AmEx is just that little bit sneaky about it!
