Vinomofo Wine Deals

Squitchy Lane is back.

Am I missing something about the Halliday rating on this one, or are VM stretching the truth (to be very kind)?

They state the wine got 95 points and gold in the James Halliday - 2022 Australian Chardonnay & Cabernet Sauvignon Challenge, but it was the RESERVE Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon Cabernet Franc that achieved this, the wine they are selling is not mentioned in the results.

The standard release that VM are selling scored 93 on WineCompanion (Ned Goodwin), with the drinking window listed as "to 2024".

Don’t let the facts get in the way of a good story!

Kangarilla Road Vineyard Alluvial Fans Shiraz 2018

Anyone tried it?
I've bought this in a deal in the past...quite a few years ago but from memory it was good.

But I'm a bit torn as there's a broker deal for a 2019 McLaren Vale Durif/Petet Sirah which was supposedly $120 and now $30. I'm guessing is the Dandelion Midnight Rainbow (but would love a confirmation and/or opinion on the wine)

..or the Squitchy Lane?

If it's the Midnight Rainbow, I bought one from TWC
for $33 over a year ago, good wine, would definitely consider it again at $30.

I know everyone has been a bit skeptical about the 2017 Juniper Estate but have had a bottle over the last two nights and it's been great. The wife actually told me I'm allowed to keep the whole case and she hasn't said that for a little while. Maybe the other vintages are better, I haven't had them so I can't comment but this one is solid IMO.

Just bought the Curtis 2018 Pasha Shiraz. Not sure if I’ve made a mistake but it seemed to be decently reviewed on vivino
Been a fan of the Curtis Pasha for a few years. Curtis got a bad rep for their RRPs (probably rightly so) but I found their Pasha and their Martins Vineyard excellent wines when you get them for $20-$25 or ~$35 respectively.
Mclarenvale Cellars flock a lot of Curtis stork. 95 Point McLaren Vale 2018 Shiraz 6 pack | McLaren Vale Cellars
