Decided to go with this:
Very mixed reviews on Vivino, for different vintages. The returns policy is my backup.
Vinomofo return Policy is definitly better than buying from Grays!

Seems to me that the random discount codes which were once relatively prevalent are now a bit thin on the ground. The Fo's are still throwing around the once or twice weekly "till midnight" codes +/- shipping, though.

Cape Barren The Vale Shiraz 2018

At $35 with current free shipping seems good value. Just got 2 cases to take advantage of the AMEX Vinomofo spend $299 get $70 back offer. [Also had a $15 birthday voucher to make it even sweeter]

Is that a made for VM label? I couldn't get any info on it.

Cape Barren is now part of CW Wines and they have come out with a number of new lines under the Cape Barren label, including back vintages that have no previous existence under the former Cape Barren ownership.
But if this is similar/as good as the excellent Rare Bird 2018 that was previously offered at $30 ("RRP" $150), then it's good value.
I just bought another dozen of Shiraz 2021 – Black Market Deal #49453 - Red Wine | Vinomofo Australia which is Cape Barren Wild Goose. Friends I shared it with wanted some more, good value at $15.

Have you happened to try Rare Bird 2019?

I think 2018 was still produced by Cape Barren, but 2019 could be made by CW wines. I am not sure but Sam Kim lurking in the reviews could be a hint.
AFIK CW only took over Cape Barren last year. Actually (from Wine Companion)
"Cape Barren was founded in '99 by Peter Matthew. He sold the business in late '09 to Rob Dundon and Tom Adams, who together have amassed in excess of 50 years experience in winemaking, viticulture and international sales. The wines, including shiraz and grenache, are sourced from dry-grown vines between 70 and 125 years old. Chardonnay and grüner veltliner are sourced from the Adelaide Hills. CW Wines purchased Cape Barren in early '24. -JAMES HALLIDAY"

But they (CW) have released a fair number of back vintage (2018/2019) wines under labels that were not part of the Cape Barren portfolio, so who knows where the wines come from.
