Vinomofo Wine Deals

This is a wine that you would expect to be an absolute stunner, a complex and most importantly ethereal example of a Vinimofo barrrgain. In the past I have been disappointed with these examples time and time again so even though it presents like it would blow my socks off, considering I am now wearing thongs, I will pass.
Out of curiousity, how do you feel about the entire Clarendon Range? I have ordered the PR but unsure if it will be worth twice the price as the rest that VM has sold.

This sort of pricing is not my oeuvre to be honest and hence my propensity to indulge in the was/is ratios of 40-85/18-25. Twice the saving never infers twice the wow factor but regardess of price at the Fo, good is good. We all inhabit different taste worlds which makes this all so subjective though but I don't know whether everyone's favourite drink is like mine, the next. Up at the Goldie at the moment, I had 2 6packs delivered so am keen to sample after my return.

Anyone know what wine this is?

What wine is this? Thanks in advance.
for a similar price, perhaps consider 2023 Leeuwin Estate Prelude

Vinomofo Veuve Cliquot for $55 ea in a 6 pack available if anyone has an AMEX Plat offer ($70 cash back) stacked with one of the various $15 off (SUNDAY for instance). Even without, $69.99 is solid for that wine as a pre Christmas stack up. Free delivery as well.

Hi all. Just joined AFF website, had an interesting hour scrolling through last few pages of this thread. Clearly many expert discount-aficionados here! Was simultaneously scrolling through my last 12 months of purchases from V__Mofo: & what a frigging amazing catalogue of whites & reds they are! Sorry but I simply do not understand the mof_ naysayers here (I don't work for or with mof_) - how much of an absolute bargain do you require then?!

And to answer some of the criticisms or issues that I've seen re VM. Yes, some of their RRP's are opaque or fanciful, but some are spot on. Might I suggest you take advantage of their personal wine concierge service? Then instead of racking your brains about what this or that Black Market deal might be, pick up the phone Mon - Fri before 6 pm & ask your personal dealer "what is BM Deal # 12345 please?" - guess what, they'll tell you! They might even knock a few bucks off too. They just cannot put it in print (including not email). Then if I'm not familiar with the wine, which is often, I end the call politely so I can go online & suss out whether it's a genuine winery with information on how they make the wines. Because yes, every single large wine retailer has a suite of 'own brands'. Not just the 'Fo, but also Dan's, GWD, Vintage Cellars, WineSquare, various wine societies, pretty much ALL of the bigger players do it.

If you had indeed looked around here as much as you said, you would not need to recommend that approach.

Although VM doesn't actually do 'own brands' as such, some makers will instead do particular wines that sell only through the Fo, meaning the RRP is pretty much fictional. I think CW wines probably accounts for several of the fanciful brands, those with extra heavy bottles, cork, wax, ie the full palava, with websites that only talk about sea captains & The Old Days, eg Devitt & Moore. Plus CW has taken over Schild, Ulithorne, Archery Rd, Reschke, School House, Stonehaven & more. So fake brands are not even required! Thank goodness CW is locally owned, employs excellent winemakers, and sources very high qual fruit, much of it from vineyards they now own. So I'd prefer them than Pernod Ricard or Lion Nathan, to be absorbing wineries or vineyards that are struggling, or want to exit the field.

imo there are much better champagnes for <$70 e.g. Louis Roederer Collection, Andre Clouet Grande Reserve

this thread has 1178 pages - they've only scrolled through the last few :)

It's actually quite quick to make a phone call & get an answer, I've found.

OK when I said "a few", maybe 15 or 20. I don't have the time to scroll 1178, no matter how interesting.
