RRP for Basket Press Shiraz 2021 is currently $90. For 2018 Vintage it was a smidgeon sub $80 from memory. How do they come up with their "RRPs" is beyond me.Can’t bring myself to disagree with you, more a reflection on the shambolic and overhyped sales ploys
Wasn’t just me then. Thought I’d imagined it has went back a while later and Schild was $99, so was able to get a bottle. Rockfords still a bit pricey for me at $199.Hopeless, when I looked at Rockfords Basket Press and Schild Estate Moorooroo they were full price. Went back on the site and they had been reduced and were sold out. Not sure why I bother with VM special events anymore

Yeah I happened to be on when the full price with some extra mayo on top was available. VM is just about gone.Hopeless, when I looked at Rockfords Basket Press and Schild Estate Moorooroo they were full price. Went back on the site and they had been reduced and were sold out. Correct observation. The secondary market drives prices up, but after many years collecting at cellar door and storing in my cellar I think I’m better off selling than drinking. Lovely cellar door but the wines aren’t that good IMHO…I got my first dozen Wendouree this year and I figure there’s 10 or so years before I find out if the hype is worth it there!RRP for Basket Press Shiraz 2021 is currently $90. Geez, 10 years to wait for a wine to age, after waiting i'm assuming 10 years to get on their mailing list. So if i send a letter in to Wendouree now for my 2 year old.. by the time she's 22, she'll be able to enjoy a 10yr old bottle.Correct observation. Agree @beefarmer this was a belter for sub $20. Nabbed another 6 of the '22.Has a hewitson ungrafted shiraz a few weeks back. Stunning. In for a sixer when I saw this today. I Dont know if mine was a 21 or 22 but I was the best of a mix of 5 that day.
Grab a pack. You cannot go wrong with this one.
Without question worth a try because the hundred buckers and plus are rare air.Agree @beefarmer this was a belter for sub $20. Nabbed another 6 of the '22.
I grabbed a bottle of the Moorooroo at $199 - worth a try. I got an email from VM refunding $100 due to incorrect pricing. Move fast, break things? Either way, I'm a pig in cough for $99 - see what the Halliday fuss is about. Romantic and elegant Barossa (not true to my style), but worth a sniff.
I could be wrong but I have read or listened somewhere that Wendouree have changed the way they are making wines and more recently they are made to be enjoyed sooner. Agree re Rockford - I sell half of mine. I did try 2018 Rockford BP recently and really liked it a lot more than 2017.Correct observation. I finished my last one tonight.my woty from VM was the Wood Park Zin.
Zinfandel 2019 – Black Market Deal #44867 - Red Wine
Zinfandel has the reputation for being rich, plump, jammy and opulent to the extreme - all good things. But it can also be hotter than a day in the desert an...www.vinomofo.com
I remember you enjoyed a nice Zin. Last one I had was an earthy morsel, probably not in my DNA terroir, but most memorable was the winemakers talent in hiding the 16per cent strength. I have more fingers on one hand than different zins I have tried.Love a big fat Zin, I've just put my name on the waiting list if it resurfaces...
I remember that one too! Mine didn’t last so longYour memory serves you correctly BF! The Churchview is one of the earlier purchases I made from VM when the bargains and options were as plentiful as the hairs on a whippet's back. I've only got this last Mohican left from a couple of sixers I bought nearly a decade ago, it was awe-inspiring back then, I hope the years have been kind to it, might have to crack it as a Friday night special... I hope it's aged better than their marsanne from 2015, which I was a bit disappointed with recently. Seemed to have all the elements for good ageing when I bought it at cellar door on release, but maybe I was wrongYour memory serves you correctly BF! Clarendon Hills Piggott Range Shiraz 2013Astralis?Shiraz 2013 - Starts Now! Deal #54069 - Red Wine
You can't beat Australian shiraz with some age on it — all those big tannins slowly softened through time interlaced with aromas of menthol, cassis and dark chocolate aromas that have developed into more tertiary, softer notes. Everything is in its place now we've just got to get it delivered to...www.vinomofo.com
(Pardon if has been asked about b4)
This is a wine that you would expect to be an absolute stunner, a complex and most importantly ethereal example of a Vinimofo barrrgain. In the past I have been disappointed with these examples time and time again so even though it presents like it would blow my socks off, considering I am now wearing thongs, I will pass.Clarendon Hills Piggott Range Shiraz 2013
