I think there may be a general internet issue at the moment, as several sites, including Google Oz don't work (for me, might be because I'm in HKG!) but mine is pending too.

Just found out about it... tried to get mel-mcy, sometime in May....

My reservations also advised PENDING though it gave me a reservation number.

I booked four flights in total (2 x SYD-CBR rtn). Thanks DJ.

I was tempted to fly to CBR for the w/e....but thought, by the time I hire a car / book a hotel etc, it won't be that cheap anymore!! Plus what would I do in CBR for the W/E?!:rolleyes:...[ducks for cover now!!]

MEL-MCY wasn't on sale. Only the Embraer E-Jet flights were on sale.

Yes, I found the MEL-MCY special was posted after the sale had closed so I was actually looking at a "non-special".... also explains why it wasn't there, then was there.....

It doesn't cost me any extra as I have a few friends down so its an excuse to catch up and meet up for dinner. I'll get them to pick me up late on a Saturday, head out for dinner and drinks, borrow their couch for the night and the next have Sunday brunch before heading back home. No cost for car hire, petrol or hotel ;)

Thanks to the OP and "Today's Posts", I managed to book two SYD-CBR trips and a SYD-ABX daytrip. :D

It was almost a now-you-see-it-and-now-you-don't type sale...in stark contrast to Jetstar. I know which one I prefer...

Did the actual link to the "Specials Page" with the $1 fares ever come up or was it just people who did "trial and error" dates that got the fares? If it didn't perhaps they'll do it again tomorrow night and get it right! (yeah, wishful thinking lol)

Also, my credit card payment is still pending as well.

Not that I saw ... although I stopped looking about 1/2 way through the sale.

You read my game plan!

An added benefit is that I'll be in town for Brumbies v Blues.

Now to toss up whether to invest in membership of The Lounge :?:

I reluctantly checked DJ's site as I was expecting a system overload / crash / choke but that didn't happen. The site loaded well and the booking went smoothly which is very much to my surprise, given previous sales on JQ for example made me spend hours being frustrated and getting nowhere.

They don't seem to have emailed the populations of Australia, so perhaps not lots of people knew about it. I only found out as it was posted here!

The "PENDING" status seems to be consistent across the board, so perhaps DJ intentionally disabled all non-critical functions (e.g. link to credit card system) to temporarily boost server capacity?

Now all you have to do is spend the night working out what to do with the 10 velocity points you will earn each leg! Thumbs up for Virgin, a sale that was actually bookable, even if the links were not perfect!
