Virgin Amex Velocity Platinum card now 110k points

If anyone is looking for a fantastic AMEX card with great benefits, I have this card and love it.

You get : 80,000 Velocity points PLUS one free domestic return flight. Plus you get all the usual Amex bonuses like 3 x points for restaurant spend (including places like Maccas and KFC etc so a bit of a bargain to get 30 Velocity points for buying a big mac and fries!), and their awesome statement credits which give you regular money off spend at selected merchants.
Annual card fee $349 (charged on your first statement) - which is pretty much totally offset by the free Virgin flight so it's not that much in the grand scheme of things considering you get 80k Velocity points as well.
And if you sign up using THIS LINK I get : 20,000 Velocity points - which will help me fly to the UK to visit family in 2017 so I would be eternally grateful to anyone who signs up via my link.

Someone in here is going to get 20k points credited to their account soon - thanks for the link! (I don't remember whose link I had clicked, so it will have to be a surprise)

I don't think I have to list the benefits as they are already very well described on this thread :D. Many thanks for your consideration everyone, and safe travels as always!

Re: Best offer yet! AMEX Velocity Platinum with 110,000 bonus!

Has the 110k thread become the default thread for this card despite there being a 80k (correct) thread?

Re: Best offer yet! AMEX Velocity Platinum with 110,000 bonus!

Eh, but why hit them up when there's plenty here you could help out? :)

Unless you really owe The Points Team one.

True! They do have some pretty good content though. I've been following them the past couple weeks on their interchange regulation updates which have been really good. If I needed one I'd probably go through them to say thanks for the info

Well played.

Re: Best offer yet! AMEX Velocity Platinum with 110,000 bonus!

Virgin Velocity Platinum American Express

This card is still the best offer for Velocity points bonus out there, even though the 110K point offer is gone. To sum it up:

80000 bonus Velocity points + Free Virgin Australia domestic flight + 2 Virgin Australia Lounge Passes + Travel Insurance for only $349 annual fee.

The free domestic flight covers most of the annual fee already.

Most important of all, 80000 bonus Velocity points can be converted to 59259 Singapore Krisflyer miles. It can get you award ticket on Singapore Airlines (as an example):

- Sydney - Singapore - Hong Kong on Business One-Way (46750 KF miles)
- Sydney - Singapore - Rest of South East Asia Business One-Way (46750 KF miles)

If you spend a little on your card to accumulate more miles, you can go the following:
- Sydney - Singapore - Hong Kong on A380 Suites/First One-Way (63750 KF miles)
- Sydney - Singapore - Tokyo on Business One-Way (65875 KF miles)
- Sydney - Singapore - Tokyo on A380 Suites/First One-Way (80750 KF miles)
- Sydney - Singapore - European Cities on Business One-Way (80750 KF miles)

It is still a fantastic deal. If you want all these benefits, you should apply on the following link:

Re: Best offer yet! AMEX Velocity Platinum with 110,000 bonus!

Apologies if this has already been covered but do the free VA flights with this AMEX deal earn VFF points? A previous thread suggested that the AMEX flights don't come out of the rewards bucket which might suggest they do earn points

No points or status credits for the VAMEX :(

Agree with the above post, not quite sure why this thread hasn't been closed as clearly title is now incorrect.
