For those of you who happened to visit our Adelaide Lounge yesterday (Jan 16th), you may have noticed that we have begun stage one of its refurbishment.
This is due to be completed in the first quarter of this year, and not only will see a refresh of the decor, but will see its configuration increase capacity by 35 seats.
Unfortunately to accommodate the work, meeting rooms are no longer available in Adelaide and we have had to reduce the amount of workstation PCs from 6 to 2.
We will keep you updated throughout the project and advise a completion date closer to the time.

Good to hear re refurbishment but the decrease in PCs to 2 is not so good...

Good stuff. Lounge was small last time I visited (at a very quiet time!), good to hear that you are looking to expand.

I was in the ADL lounge yesterday. It was my first visit there so I can't say I noticed anything different. I did see a few staff wondering around and discussing the layout & what not. It also looked like some stock was being moved from the supply cupboards to other areas.

Please pass on my praise for the staff working in the lounge between 10:30am & 1:30pm. Front desk & food prep area included. Very professional, attentive.

Good to hear about the upgrade. Cant say I was blown away by the ADL lounge when I visited last month - was quite dirty and run-down. As others have said, the service is excellent - exactly what Adelaide service should be - relaxed, genuinely friendly yet quietly professional.

Never understood why those meeting rooms are there - unless they are used for last minute presentation preparations I wouldnt have thought they would get much use. Few people come to Adelaide to do business!

I have used ADL lounge on regular basis and even before the refurbishment I actually it is pretty good. Just need to get more food variety though

I was in ADL for work.

I ducked into the smaller meeting room a couple of times to take some phone calls. I thought it was quite good that they have a quiet space you can go to for such things. Although I didn't ask for permission so I'm not sure if the girls at the desk were silently judging me or not.

Oh NO!!!! I love the ADL Lounge. I dont like change, and I love the private feel of ADL Lounge. Oh well, I guess change is good, I didnt like the BNE lounge either when it opened, compared to the old one. (I do like it now :D)

Oh well, I guess change is good,

No, white is good, white is clean, purple is a warm colour!

I do know what you mean about the new lounges though......the newies have grown on me, but I do miss the homely feeling of the old BNE lounge. I fear the same for SYD. I like it as it is (although the upstairs view would be nicer).

I heard new seats were turning up this week (may not be correct!). Also, I didn't see any computers there when I was in the lounge over the weekend - A little frustrating as I needed to print something out.

More frustrating was the lack of Fat Yak in the fridge...but happy for some expansion of the lounge.
