Had this on my PER-MEL flight on Sunday. Happy to report it was as tasty as it looked (the shank was great; ate the whole thing with a fork only!).I had the lamb shank for lunch on the VA Syd-Per flight yesterday...the meat melted in your mouth; would have loved a bit more tho. One thing that *really* annoys me (and it's not VA, it's 'chefs' in general) is that they leave the tail on the prawn. I mean, it may 'look' nicer, but considering there is a substantial amount of flesh under the shell they leave on, it means you have to get your fingers in there to remove the shell, which is not what you want to be doing in J; it's messy and looks undignified!
