Apart from providing written feedback (maybe try the complaints form?) your best option will be to fill up in the lounge instead. It's disappointing that VA don't cater to specific dietary requirements but then again still preferable to travel in the US where domestic flights under 3 hours are typically "snack box only".Obviously VA joining the modern world and offering dietary meals would be the perfect scenario, but I don't see that happening thus a jump to the dark side looks likely. Does anyone in a similar position have any advice or recommendations?
Will be exactly like a trans con! Pantry is there but would recommend bringing some snacks with you xAm about to travel MEL DPS VA J on Monday. Wondering if anyone has done an AU to DPS J flight on VA recently, and what was the meal service like? I’m assuming it would be exactly the same as any domestic or trans-con, i.e. not much? Any thoughts appreciated. I think we’ll have to end up taking some snacks I guess.

It use to be nothing so the chocolate is cute.On a few flights recently I've only had the small love heart chocolate for dessert with lunch, when does the proper dessert come into play ?
The dessert, is plated on scheduled services around the 3hr length mark and over (maybe as low as 2.5hr), but I am not sure of the precise cut-over point. On a few flights recently I've only had the small love heart chocolate for dessert with lunch, when does the proper dessert come into play ?
I get desert HBA-BNE, but not HBA-SYD, so maybe 3hrs. The deserts are nothing to write home about though. On a few flights recently I've only had the small love heart chocolate for dessert with lunch, when does the proper dessert come into play ?

You should at least credit the people whose photos you took. I can say this because that pasta photo was taken by me.An additional service of Antipasto would have been appreciated! We took our own little antipasto things you buy in Woolworths ( olives, salami, cheese ). We were in 2AC. Orders were taken 1AC 1DF 2DF then us last ( lowly red members J points ticket). It was a choice of the Chicken Parmy or the Pasta, desert being the passion fruit cheesecake thing. Didn't take pics on board but found some upthread and copied here. When they got to us there was one left of each, so we shared. However, the cheese and crackers were taken off the tray, and they did a “cheese and cracker service” around 2hrs prior to arrival! Wines ( forget what they were but quite nice), were topped up. We’d avoid it for the next trip if we can, but when using points beggars can’t be choosers. Nothing on QF or SQ, we used to love Garuda to get to Bali ( and onwards to EU at times), but alas they’re in the doldrums. Now, to suck it up and tomorrow fly home on SQ207 ex SIN to MEL in Y. Haven’t done a Y trip in decades but it’s a day flight and only 6-7hrs so I’ll see how the other half live. We move on ……
