For Gold (achieved) to Plat, I'm still getting 'Status under review' - now 5 days after stated review date. I guess they batched everyone at the end of the 3 months promo period, but wouldn't it be just computer matched - or do you think there would be human checking?

You'd think it would be automated, given the large numbers that likely played the game... but then again, maybe they decided to let more in at the beginning, and then do the proper review on only the smaller number that cross the threshold/s. There's probably some benefit in this, weeding out the folks that just matched on impulse for no particular reason, or for a Y flight or two within 90 days from the challenge. Still showing the same for me too - my review date was 14 Dec 2022.

Mine still saying review date 16 December.

Joined the promo (as a Platinum QFF member) was given Gold trial, Flew 4 segments 210 SC (although 30 points were robbed from me due to a forced downgrade on a replacement flight, but the CS center gave me back +30 SC points)
Now still Gold and still waiting to be cleared for Platinum upgrade as part of the switch-a-roo
I guess if VA want me to keep flying with them this'll go through on its own.
Otherwise its back to QF

Yeah, there's a number of folks still waiting, after getting the SCs needed. My review date was 14 Dec 2022, so there's only another [up to] 47 days to go until the 8 week timeframe is up to follow up with VA!

Gosh, I'd never wait until the official time. If they tell me to get stuffed wait some more, well, OK, but there's a chance they may fix up whatever the issue is.

Personally I don’t mind if the clock doesn’t start on WP status yet, as I’ve only got QF bookings coming up… but it does seem odd it would take so long, especially after a clear status review date.

When it does comes, it should be backdated to the official status review date. I hope so - I'm the opposite; VA flights only!

My Trial GOLD status review date 8th Dec 22 but GOLD digital card expiry says 8th Jan 23
I didnt get enough status credit to maintain gold, so my online status dropped to SILVER now

Question: Can I still use my GOLD status until 8th Jan 2023 as my digital card still says GOLD? even though my online profile says Silver?

I’m just doing a gold switcheroo. Met the SC and sector requirements easily. My digital gold card states card expiry date of 20 Jan 2023 but “review date” of 20 Dec 2022 - a few days ago…

I have a VA flight next week. It looks like gold benefits have stuck to the booking so hopefully won’t be turned away from the lounge. T2 in Sydney is otherwise unbearable.

The generosity of this promo aside, I do find it a little unfair that VA can take its time updated status, during which time the higher status benefits you've actually earned can't be used.

As a long time WP, the shortest review I remember experiencing was about two weeks; many took the full month especially in the early days.

I messaged VA on messenger. They maintain allow the 8 weeks for.cinfirmation. I don't mind and would.actualky prefer achieving Platinum at end.if their 8 week review time as not planning a flight until late Jan.

I had the the same overnight. Hoping there is still a manual review and update to Platinum coming, but not looking great for now.
