I got this popup on my VA flight today when opening the Virgin Australia Entertainment app:

The entertainment was still available - you just went straight through your browser rather than having to use the app.

First time I’ve seen this. I wonder if it’s related to the upcoming high-speed wifi rollout?

It's been like that for the past ~6 weeks. Much more streamlined for the pax who didn't have the app then realised they needed the app halfway through the flight.

Good to know. Do you know if this change been rolled out on all aircraft yet?

Certainly not complaining - just an observation.

Ok but, anyone else having 'full screen' issues with the now browser-based app? Very small on my iPhone, I can't work out a way to max it in landscape mode

Yes ... I preferred the app for this reason on my Android.

Cannot really get the web browser to full screen.

Yes any tips with this?

It’s really annoying. The app is a better viewing experience.

My experience on iPhone (including tonight) has been to tap the full screen icon (two arrows at 45 degrees) is the best I can describe them and then turn the phone sideways. Haven’t had any issues the last four sectors or so doing this and it being full screen

Will try this. I've reverted to an iPad which clearly maxes the screen real estate, but also is a little more inconvenient to manage.

It’s very buggy trying to get the site to even load too. The CC said to manually punch in the URL if it doesn’t work, keep playing around with the QR code etc, and it does work eventually.

Pretty much no content at all though.

Yes I found it quite buggy on my Samsung phone.

I used it on my Pixel 6 last week and got it to full screen, with no issues. I will try it again Friday and report back if there are any issues.

I will also try on an iPhone just to see how that works out.
