Click here for a list of current Virgin Australia discount codes:

A while back VA had a discount code that could be used for (almost) any domestic booking.

Are there any discount codes that work at the moment?

Thanks!

I didn't think the discount codes worked on sale/promo fares anyway?
No, but I'm planning a trip with parts in the sale period and parts outside.

So:
  • Yes, it's my experience that entering the Travelbank number to search for Future Flight Credit fares, hides the Promo Code box.
  • The promo codes don't work on the sale fares, but they work on some which are not much higher, and reduce the total below the sale fare by a few dollars.
  • I have managed to buy the current sale fares, using FFC.

Anyone seen any new promo codes floating around? I'm looking at dates in Dec for SYD-BNE.

VA's cheapest flights are at least $100 more expensive than QF and they're not offering lounge access, catering etc. I'd be shocked to see anyone fly VA if QF is cheaper and has a better offering. o_O

I've seen CRV59 been mentioned on a few other discussion forums. 20 day minimum booking window would still apply. Happy to hear if this promo code works for anyone?

I did some searches for speculative dates in January and February and this did indeed produce a discount on (in some instances) all of the major fare classes.

Hi guys,

Happy New Year everyone. Hopefully we can start flying freely soon!

Wondering if there's any codes for 2021?

Cheers!

Not a code. But I noticed CRV59 doesn't discount Freedom fares.
However, I noticed that the Amex Travel site discounts Freedom fares ( Book with Amex Travel | American Express Australia )
(For those with an AMEX Velocity card, I am unsure if you still get bonus points using the AMEX card on the AMEX Travel site for Virgin Australia flights as oppossed to Virgin direct. That said, the discount would be better value than the points.)

Tried to use it CRV59 for a month out and zero discount now. Was working for me yesterday.

Still working for me for plenty of dates but when I was looking around the end of the month recently it appeared to be a couple of weeks that were blackout dates. From about March 24th- April 7th it appears blacked out, perhaps school holidays, Easter???

Was latter March so that might be it.

Decided I wanted to use up our Platinum upgrades before end March on cheapest fares, so one needs to do that by phone (on the rare occasions they answer phones in there now!) and they do not seem to be able to apply discount codes, even if they had worked!

Data point - CRV59 was accepted, but didn't take any $ off the price of a SYD-MEL-SYD elevate fare for later this week.

10% off full price fares (including Freedom) and 3% off Sale Fares as an AFL Promo.

Code is FZS66 for bookings until 30 June 2021 with some blackout periods and 7 days advance booking required for travel out to mid 2022.

First time I have seen a discount on Freedom Fares for a long, long time
