I don’t believe the Dash 10 has MCAS.

Considering the testing done I have no issue flying it. I also have faith in Australian trained pilots should the cough hit the fan, I think the outcome will be different compared to what we saw at Ethiopian and Lion.

Completely different kettle of fish inside the QF and VA training departments compared to what’s on offer at the above two, and many others. Most certainly in safe hands.

I think it does have MCAS - remember it was there to make the aircraft feel the same to the pilots.

Jane HRDLCKER or whatever her name is was on ACA tonight, Surprisingly she stated she is not being paid until July 2021. As much as there is negative comments about her, the example displayed by her in this instance is commendable. No doubt there will be a massive bonus, when she does get paid, however, regardless very impressive and making her seem like she is taking one for the team as well.

I believe she’s on the books as a Bain consultant

She has been very well compensated by Bain don’t you worry about that... she’s just not drawing a salary from VA2.... it’s a lovely PR line. She was paid by Bain up until the point they knifed Paul in back and shoved him out the forward left hand door with no stairs ;)

And next week JQ will be flying more domestic flights than they have ever done before by using their international planes domestically.
Really putting the scrwes on to VA 2.

Is this INT-configured A320s (whatever that is - maybe one less Y seat) doing the domestic runs, or using the 787-8s for domestic flights? If the latter I may consider flying JQ...

I wouldn't think there would be enough Australian crew to operate the 787s domestically.

report on the news said the International A 320's.

Interesting

Surely they had to do this for international services to re-commence (at some point).
If they liquidated the entity post Administration they would have to had to have setup a new one in the event of restarting international.

Ansett had also done this 'method' when they were wholly-owned by NZ.

Surprised that Bain have taken so long to make this latest change (made permanent last week) together with their 'auto' enhancement.

Given that Q changed the rate of W Reward Point to QFF late last year - I am surprised that Bain waited so long (yes I know it costs them but not matching Q likely costs/loses them more).

More puzzling that the next change was not done years ago as QFF did with Woolies. Namely that you Coles' FB account can be set to auto-transfer points to VFF (generating cash flow for VFF) & now no yearly cap on how many points can be transferred. Given how many points can be gained from one CC signup - it made no sense to me that VA had a cap on FB points transfers per year set a level not much higher than a good CC signup.

Crazy that the old VA did not do this, though perhaps Coles resisted it - doe anybody know?
