Virgin Australia to lease more 737s

Could even use them for short haul international. Reckon there would definitely be demand for them on Fiji route and with GA pretty much disappearing they could find some Bali work from the East Coast

I wonder if they could do some interesting triangular work so lie flats operate Syd/Mel-Asia, Asia-Per, Per-Syd/Mel redeye, but with regular aircraft for the opposite.

Considering that VA2 is not giving up on international routes (such as keeping the Haneda slot), maybe some 787-8/9s or A330neos in the next few years?

Anyways, looks like they want to keep the domestic fleet as simplified as possible with the 737s. Similar processes when it comes to maintenance.

Are these newly leased aircraft from MI/the US better than the F100 hard seats with little padding?

J ‘looks’ ok, Y ‘looks’ very firm. But I guess we will find out with time…. I have a couple of personal VA2 flights coming up but chances of getting the new seats is pretty small.

Last minute swap to VA781 BNE-CNS
So these 2 aircraft VH-IWQ & VH-IJU have the new seats, right?

So only way to know if our next flight is on one of these aircraft is to check sites like Flightradar24 day or so before booked flight.
Knowing of course airlines can change aircraft a anytime of course.

Who'll give a rundown here once they hit one of the 2 planes.
