Don't forget that more info is said to be announced in the upcoming weeks, to do with Y cabin, so perhaps more on the 332 J config will come out then.... as well as what's happening to the 738's J cabin....
Considering the press release shows there are plans for only 4 x 332's over the next 2 years(?), and DJ will have some "70" x 738's back in their fleet pretty soon, I'm just as curious, if not more so, as to what the J config of these 738's will be.
- If the current 738 Y+ pitch is some 34" atm, is it the plan to simply remove a row (or two) of Y to give J an approx 44" pitch?? (3 rows for J, as mentioned on ausbt)
- With the 332 J seating being nicely refurbished Emirates J, is it not more likely that the 738 J's will offer something different/newer for the 800+ physical seats needs for retrofitting? (just done in the same material/stylings for consistency).
Considering that QF has, to date, only decided to up the ante on the East-West routes as part of their counter attack, that leaves a huge number of QF routes that operate smaller craft, with their standard J offerings, as prime target for DJ to muscle in on with their "new J"... and somehow i don't think QF has quite enough 744's with skybeds to quickly throw at them in response
Can't wait to find out what happens .... is it sad that i find this so fascinating?
