Virgin Family transfer - 30 day expiry

My issue is that their website here Do Velocity Points expire? doesn't mention anything about short term activity.

Just to provide an update, I did manage to get points reinstated. Live chat and their supervisor were not able to do it - it had to be escalated to a complaint, but once that occurred, it happened pretty much overnight.
