Virgin Happy Hour [Thursdays]

Tempted by the SYD-ADL $119 for late August.

Have a $500 travel wallet credit so that should near wipe that.

If COVID gets worse and fights to ADL or SYD are canned do they just add back into travel wallet?

None of us have crystal balls but I am guessing capital city lounges should be working by end August if things stay stable?

Why did I not guess this? "Money issues - who says - We do not need bookings.''

Try on both Firefox and Chrome and site either overloaded or not functioning.

Safari on the phone and google chrome all ok for me. Certainly tempted by some cheap J fares!

It gets better --- no happy hour flights for you pal, yes we KNOW advertised they were sale only an hour back, $119 for SYD-ADL-SYD for these dates, and yes they are on our website SYD but we have laid off most of our techies so nothing is working very much right now.

Slowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwly a booking was pulled together.

Site was probably overloaded, with half of Australia frantically using up Travel credits for SOMETHING - ANYTHING.

I'd book SYD-Newcastle right now to see those Travel Credits vanish.

We have 2 dust-covered Platinum cards sitting here. There may even be lounges late August!

Bain Capital might get it back up - who knows, I sure hope so, but all the other airline creditors have to approve that, and I really can't see that occurring personally.

It worked when I tried the search on the homepage itself (SYD-ADL on 21 August for $119)...

When does the SA border reopen to NSW residents? It was going to be 20th July but that has been delayed...

We are hoping by August 21st.

No idea what occurs with these tickets if it is not. Another Travel Bank Credit I suppose?

We live in strange days indeed!

You'd probably have to hope for a generous call centre agent who won't charge you a fee to move the flights to a later date.

Surprised that Happy Hour is on tonight with all fares under $100!

the SA premier did not include NSW in the SA travel bubble for now...how long for I guess will depend on the number of commnity transmissions in NSW. :(

Happy Hour tonight is mainly NT/QLD/SA in addition to an intra-NSW route
