How did you manage to book 4 return flights for 2 on the card? My understanding was that you can only book 2 x 2 return flights. Did you have multiple cards?

I apparently have 8 available, have been working on the basis that is 8 sectors each. They have accumulated for me, still a few days to get busy.

Well that shows you have 2 Credit cards therefore i guess twice as many flights.
With my 4 flights per 1 card it entitled me to 2 x returns trips for 2 people. 4 sectors.

So did you find that a benefit to have 2 x cards rather than a supplementary card? I'm guessing 2 lots of bonus points for sign up?

Yea absolutely. 2 x sign on bonuses and 2 x benefits. We generally run our own credit cards (also makes it easier when buying presents!) but have a joint bank account that they are paid out of.

I'm about to cancel the card but before I do we've got a couple of large purchases to put on it, after which I'll pay it down and cancel.

Has anyone had any issues with points being credited to Velocity after cancelling their card (or otherwise has anyone cancelled a card and had points come through as they should?)

I recently cancelled a gold velocity AMEX and had points credit as normal after the closure.

My virgin money credit card doesn't show on my Velocity account.....

Yes have had issues. They would not give me the points after I cancelled the card. I would wait for your statement to cycle through the transfer.

My virgin money credit card doesn't show on my Velocity account.....

Neither does mine anymore, I guess there is no longer a reason for them to show.
