Virgin Voyages Access Keys for 79,999 points on the Velocity Store

Took the leap, given an update for 2 people is 60k a 3 up to 6 night cruise for 2 sounds good value.

The way it’s reads it’s inclusive of drinks etc too.

If so even better.
VV is inclusive of food and basic beverages (water, juice, filtered coffee). Anything else is rxtra

Can these keys be transferred ?
Can't answer your question for sure but I'm certainly hoping so, and the terms and conditions don't suggest this to be a problem (other than if you resell it). During the checkout process I replaced my name with my intended recipient and delivery address - I'm hoping that helps with it too.

looks like no one has their. access key yet.
It does say to allow up to five business days, which would be this coming Thursday for those who pulled the trigger on the day the e-mail came out. Or Friday in my case, as I spent some time researching it and discussing it with my wife before pulling the trigger the following morning.

Meanwhile, I've worked out what my preferences would be and will aim for the longest available. I suspect though that availability won't be split evenly over those ten cruises and will be skewed towards the shorter ones. But I could be wrong.

I always find this fascinating. Why does it take so long to do something? The payment is instantaneous of course... I could understand it being a manual process with perhaps some anti-fraud measures, but why not next business day? Are they waiting for a cheque to clear or something?

I've read the terms and condition that state the access key only cover the base rate. Does that mean we still have to pay for tax and fees?
Access Keys shall: a) cover the voyage fare only and exclude all taxes, upgrades, voyage protection, transfers (unless in a Suite), and any applicable fuel surcharges; b) be double occupancy only; c) be non-transferable; d) be solely for voyage redemption; and e) not be combined with any other discounts, special offers, nor promotions.

Hopefully we find out soon I can only do feb dates so hopefully there will be enough to go around

The media release from Virgin last Friday really hyped up the 'cashless cruise' and 'no cash required to book' angle, so it should be points only. Airlines would usually mention fees and taxes in the T&C's if they are applicable.

While I agree generally, from the way it's written I believe Collinson is doing the gathering, then passing the details on to Virgin who I expect would only be generating keys on request and who will then contact the customer. I expect Collinson will only pass them on in batches (maybe daily, maybe not) and then Virgin may take time for their generation and notification process which are probably done in batches too.

I'd hope it doesn't take the full 5 business days, but equally not really expecting anything until say tomorrow because of the above.

We're cruise addicts, we don't care about the destination. Remember 80k is for 1 or 2 people to cruise
I agree, I'm on the V Voyages Mermaiden cruise and the destination isn't important for us, we aren't going for that, we are going for the cruise itself.
If I want to visit any incredible destinations it'll be on a flight, not on a cruise ship ;)

Err.

Just got the email from velocity now to promote this.

Guess the 11.5 million members, plus heavy promotion on OzBargain can’t flog 1000 keys!

Good news: My "Your Velocity Access Key has arrived." e-mail arrived about half an hour ago.

Bad news: Access key is nowhere to be seen. It literally says, "Your Access Key is . "

Looks like they have the same apprentices as qantas
collinson just as bad sent them an email from their website and got this

seems to be a multitude of errors from non competent companies
