More of less.
Yes we have made changes to our menu as noted by many of you.
We've reviewed which menu items were most popular. So with that in mind, we have removed certain products that weren't selling, or required additional handling time such as mixing spirits and the hot chocolate. Changes due to space have also been made eg. the large ginger beer bottle, to a slim line can. Ditto Crown Lager tall bottle, to the Pure Blonde can.
We value everyone's opinions, as you are all entitled to them, so rest assured you have been heard.
We just ask for a little leeway as we tweak to get things right.
Thanks
(For the record, the DJ AFF official company rep isn't a fan of mushrooms either.)
Boy VA have dropped the ball on this one.
It seems to me they just dont quite get the importance of a cup of soup. I can only assume each of us in this forum fly a lot and love doing so, But we all reach that point of becomming sick and tired of hotel rooms, lounges and hurtling through the atmosphere in an aluminium tube. It gets to all of us at times.(VA just ask your cabin crew)
What often makes these things bearable is that little bit of Virgin flair, a smile, a conversation at a check in desk or someone going the extra mile.
Inflight food is not about getting loaded or experiencing fine dining. Irrespective of the class or status of the flyer. It is about the value experienced by enjoying a little piece of comfort from home. We are so often creatures of habit and routine.
Whether the flyers regular routine includes a hot chocolate before sleep, a beer before dinner or a ham and cheese sanger between meetings is neither or there. We find a tremendous amout of utility and comfort in the little things which link us back to where we would often rather be.(At Home).
To VA
If this is about about saving work or an additional dollar or two per sector its not worth it. Add the total to my fare, heck I'll even pay for the person next to me.
Reducing range like you have and in particular making the market for the food smaller by adding ingredients like mushroom, sundried tomato reduces the likelihood of passengers finding that little piece of comfort. A piece of comfort I for one would would trade many of your recent improvements for.
VA through your outstanding service over many years you find your brand in an enviable position where brand advocates spend our time commenting and adding suggestions in forums like this. Changes to your menu are not exactly top secret material. If you are ever in need of advice and input Just Ask!
There is a whole forum of fans just dying to help.
