Ways of buying Velocity points?

I have a booking directly with velocity and I did a points plus pay business booking. They are saying I will get only the points I used and a credit on my cc for the cash I paid.

It's a shame as I could really use the points.

I cancelled one last week and got back everything. Its actually specified in my fare rules, fully refundable.

That's the way of it. At least it's fully refundable.

If you can garner enough Priority Club points you can use the method described by Markis10 to increase your total of velocity points.

There are other ways. Do you have Foxtel? If so, but are out of contract, or, if you don't but would like it, you can gather 30,000 by re-contracting or having it installed. See here: http://www.australianfrequentflyer....velocity/30000-bonus-points-foxtel-34645.html

This thread is talking about making a booking through the Priority Club Hotel programme, not through velocity, hence the confusion.

The example above was in relation to priority club points - which can then be converted to velocity points. It is not for velocity points plus pay bookings.
