We’re launching a Qantas Status Run service + free giveaway

We’re pleased to announce that AFF is launching a new service that we think will be useful to some of our members: assistance with building the optimal Qantas status run!

If you need a few more status credits to earn or maintain Qantas Frequent Flyer status, this personalised service will find a Qantas status run that best meets your needs while earning the amount of status credits that you need.

Prices will start at around $199 for status runs of up to 250 status credits (or $299 if you need up to 500 status credits), and we may offer AFF member discounts.

We’re also looking at launching a Velocity Status Run service in the near future. We’ll reveal more details in the coming weeks.

We’d love your feedback

Before we open this service to the public, we’d love to get feedback from the AFF community.

Therefore, we’re offering this service free of charge to two AFF members! In return, all we ask is that you provide detailed feedback on how you found the service and/or any suggestions on how we could improve it.

How to participate

If you would like to go in the running to get free Qantas Status Run assistance, please leave a comment in this thread by 11.59pm on Sunday, 11 August 2024. In your comment, please make it clear that you’d be interested in trialling the service.

We’ll then randomly select two AFF members who’ve commented in this thread to receive this service for free.

Excellent initiative. I'd very much be interested in knowing more and I'd be interested in trialling the service.

I'd be interested to try this out. Would be also great to offer an optimisation service. e.g., I want to go from ABC to XYZ - here is the best routing I can find, can AFF find something better? (could be judged by a few metrics, maximum SCs, $/SC, minimum segments, etc.).

Absolutely interested. Godsend to those like me who prefer not faffing around with dates and routes trying to find the elusive balance between $$ and SCs.

I am in I will need 2 runs in January already have 2 DSC bookings.

I’d be interested in trialing this service, I’ll probably need at least one status run in the next 6 months.

I am interested in this offer - currently have SG secured, but work travel has edged me quite close to WP.

Have been looking at status runs now for a few years now so keen to provide feedback with what may be slightly more complex requirements.

Great initiative and grateful this community exists!

100% interested in help with the golden handcuffs! Always a battle to maintain Platinum each year as an EU based Aussie (who will eventually move back so is keen to keep!)

Definitely interested.
Great initiative, especially for those like myself whose travel is self funded.

I can see it would be really beneficial for people like my husband who hates the idea of fluffing around when booking a DSC run. However I love all the research required! I love reading the forums where people detail what they have paid for each credit and the planning before I book the flights. That is almost as much fun as the run itself!

I'd definitely be interested, it's been ages since I've had to organise my own status run and I'm looking like I'll finally drop next year.

I personally don't like the idea of trying to monetise everything on AFF (but I guess all the travel blogs are already doing so. :( )....AFF was set up to share ideas and discussion about all things related to travel incl status runs etc. All the info to book your own status run is discussed here....and you could easily book it yourself for free with a little bit of research. I fear that this kind of service will result in AFFers being more reluctant to share great status run ideas online as this info is now going to be monetised. My 2 c....

Same thing has happened with award availability. People are much more private with what they share these days because they know blogs scour publicly available resources and repost for profit.
