Weight-loss drugs predicted to save airlines millions

There is no magic cure for weight loss. Fatblaster was one of the best marketed lies and it's still around today. Waste of time and money.

In my experience every time I lost weight I put it all back on and more. I've done it each time without exercise.

I remember 15+ years ago going to the doctor and explaining that even though I had just had a full plate of spaghetti bolognaise I still felt hungry. That's when I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. From memory I was only 100kg at the time.

That feeling of not being full is still there today and not just with spaghetti bolognaise. It can get quite bad in the evenings when I'm under stress. It's extremely bad if I've not enough sleep or missed sleep.

I'm in 2 minds about Ozempic. I'd only go on it to try and lose weight but then need to find to maintain weight loss. That's the difficult part.

P.S. anyone who is obese and expects benefits is a true nut case.

Timely thread-bump, was having dinner last night with people who actually know something about these drugs (as opposed to those who just take them). The topic arose 'cos one of our friends had attended a hen's party where at least one of the botox'd attendees was shooting one of them up; our friend is diabetic (the type you're born with) so knows all about injections, and was horrified about the lack of care about injecting bubbles etc, but that's not the topic of this ...

So these drugs DO have some nasty side effects, on top of nobody yet knowing what long-term damage they may do. If anyone's selling them as being a side-affect-less miracle cure they're a full-on scam artist. Also there's a technical limitation on the amount that can be manufactured - it's one of those "not enough X in the world" things, and all the fadsters buying it illegally is pushing prices up & availability down for those who most need it.
