Weird driving habit

Trucks (big ones) always seem to stop well short of cars at lights and then anticipate the light change so they are moving when it goes green using that space. I often see them anticipate wrongly and end up right behind the car in front.

On the sunshine coast it is usually the grey hairs that do this leaving at least 100 metres.Came across the worst today.Probably double that length then drove at 30ks.
My approach if behind such a driver and the car behind me is stopped is to move forward leaving a 1-2 inch gap. That usually gets them to move up but not today. This grey hair gets really annoyed at this behaviour.

Is it just me or has anyone else thought of pulling out from behind such a vehicle, going round them, and then moving into the space in front of them? I'd love to do it, just once.

I used to keep an escape route between myself and the car in front when I had a job refilling ATM machines, wouldn't creep up though. The South African connection seems plausible or perhaps persons wanting to evade the police LOL Its Perth hey.

I do it all the time. Admittedly I am usually on a motorbike, but I am quite happy to overtake (legally) in my car anyone who is being a nuckfuggle. [Amazing how they suddenly want to close the gap and shout at you when you do so!]
