Wendouree allocations and general discussion

Charged, only got 6 Shiraz, 3 Shiraz Mataro, 3 Shiraz Malbec and 3 Malbec. At least there's 6 Shiraz so I should quit my whinging.

I haven't received my order but did get the amount deducted from my credit card today. I think it matches my whole order but I can't remember the pricing this year!

I really need to start taking a scan or photo of the order form

Maybe it was lots of $ and you have subconsciously blocked the amount

Pretty frustrating process this year..

especially seeing many people receiving cases and cases !!

I must have upset the wine gods this year or maybe being in NSW with a surname near the end of the alphabet does not help in the 2017 distributions

I have never wanted my credit card to be charged so much in all my life

I am only 3 years into buying but have been very lucky thus far - I am realistic with regards to the bubble breaking eventually

Welcome to AFF yomura - are your orders similar each year? Do you order a mix or...?

Many thanks Steady! Orders have been fairly similar - typically ask for 3 of each (except the muscat) and hope for the best - I'm not greedy . First three years I had 100% hit rate of everything I wanted... this is the first year where it appears I haven't got everything I asked for.

Mind you, I've run out of cellar space so it may not be a bad thing given my standing orders for Giaconda, Chris Ringland and Wendourees. Currently awaiting for reno's to finish which will house a bigger cellar :mrgreen:

Yep... I actually spoke to them and the story is Cab Sav / Cab Malbec was low yield, so they were the ones to get cut back..

winery indicates that most if not all will receive Shiraz as ordered

Sounds like I was lucky with the Cab Sauv

I'm in NSW and looks like my Credit card has just been charged. I only made a small order but looks like I only missed out on one bottle of either shiraz or Cab Sav based upon the credit card charge.

My second year. Red stripe. Just been charge today. Didn't get everything, but based on the amount i got 80% of what i asked for which was 6 of each but 12 each of the shz mat and shz malbec. No muscat.

Such a shame..Cab Malbec is one of my favourites..

A very rare privilege given they don't open to the public. Generally it's only fellow winemakers and close friends who get to have a look around (by invitation only).

I'll be in the McLaren Vale and Barossa areas for 4 days in October trying as many wines as I can.

The Wendouree visit is just a bonus on top of this already planned visit.

Lets hope they don't have a liquid ban on domestic flights in place by that time!
