Wendouree allocations and general discussion

I'm waiting by the mailbox :)

But I am also wondering that given the documented limited supply this year, if things might be a little different.
I have thought the same, maybe reduced bottle limits - If there are no changes I will just order the same as I did last year - been lucky thus far receiving everything I order, but I wont be surprised if that run ends this release

Yes I wouldn't be shocked to see limits applied to everything or even 3 bottle limits on the Shiraz & Cabernet. I'm going in with low expectations and will be content if I get 50% of my order.

Only got 2 of everything last year, so I wouldn't be surprised.

I think their language seem to indicate they'll keep us on file and put us on when they've got enough wine. I'll write in again but only because I plan to move home.
Not trying to get your hopes up but someone I know received a similar letter early last year but somehow they've also got a form in the mail a few months later.

I wrote in last year and was told no dice due to low yields and not to expect anything this year, assuming more supply. So should I expect an invite perhaps next year without the need to write in again?
I spose it depends on the yield, and they probably look after long term members.

If I was a member of 15 years, I'd be coughty if new members are getting allocations. I think it's so complex, because most want the wine for themselves but then there's people who simply want to collect/sell.

Limited when you can only produce so much wine.

It seems to be that one way that Wendouree maintain their list is by sending out the order form and leaving people on the list who return theirs.

My suggestion if you are new and get a form this year is to complete it and send it back… but keep expectations low. As we all know, an order form is far from a guarantee of wine.

What's the address?

Can someone send me a copy of an old order form? I have a idea 💡

Oh dear, what have you got in mind?

I would suggest that of all the time of year, this wouldn't be the time to pester them to get on the mailing list. I would choose sometime from Sep - Dec when they're not getting inundated with order forms and members contacting them.

I don't expect to get on this year's list, I just have a very interesting and entertaining idea that I think will make them laugh! If anything, hopefully get me on the list for next year!

I'll make sure I run it past a few people before I send it off tho.

All you need to do to get on next year’s list is ask…
