Wendouree allocations and general discussion

Red crayon VIC Melbourne (purchasing every year since 2012) CC hit overnight so looks like they’re still going through. Looks like I got 80% of what I asked but still working out maths on what I missed out… feels to me like those who order in bulk get processed first as I only order 2-3 bottles of each given limited cellaring space… better get started on drinking them as I haven’t touched them yet to make space for new bottles…

I'm starting to think my yearly request of a mixed case of 6 is probably not going to be too successful

Serrat another - but their release was earlier in the month and not sure if they have sold out. At least I got my full allocation there. Still waiting for the Wendouree chook lotto
I considered some Serrat but having already loaded up on some Wild Duck Creek Estate and waiting for Wendouree I saved my pennies....will revisit next year for sure

Does a call actually make any difference to an order being filled?
I don't have any empirical evidence, only anecdotal. But after making a call personally, my order was filled to almost its entirety (except for 24b shiraz) within 2 weeks. Maybe it was a pure coincidence, maybe not.
Last year when I made such a call around this time, I was told that unfortunately I am not getting any and better luck next time.
Apart from the wine order being filled, I wanted to know if my letter actually reached the recipient as it contained my credit card information including 3 digit security code that I would not want to fall into the wrong hands.
Unfortunately that is the by product of the coughbersome and archaic ordering process.

Should I call them to retain my spot for next year if I only sent out the order form early this week? I was overseas for a few weeks so I probably missed this year's allocation given the late submission, but is there a way to make sure to retain a slot for next year?

I believe that if you sent your order this year, you retain your offer to order wines for next year. As long as you are sure it reached the recipient.

I checked in with them a few weeks after sending as the AusPost app was saying it was awaiting collection at Clare. They confirmed they had my order form.
