Wendouree allocations and general discussion

Got mine yesterday in Perth - I've been on since 2015 vintage, red crayon.

Back in the post yesterday (although I think I missed the express post cutoff), hopefully something comes of it!

Received my form yesterday 8th July. Limit 6 of each as others have said. 5th year purchasing, red crayon in Sydney.

Just for the record, I can confirm that a limit of 6 was imposed on black signature members.

I've ordered a case of every red available. This will be my smallest order in some time.

Red crayon, card hit earlier this week, collected my order yesterday. They still had a lot to pack.

should be good stocks available for 2021 & 2022 vintages, good luck

to get on the bandwagon had to purchase some at auction, ouch - am on the list for next year so we'll see how that goes but sounds hit and miss but I'm not chasing a lot as have a lot of other stuff

opening a 2013 Malbec tonight - too young?

Welcome to AFF @alittlewino. 2013 Malbec should be looking good, but a lot depends on how its been stored.

Just curious, what price did you pay at auction?

thank you @Dr Ralph, pleasure to be here and some good info
read some of your posts and you have a bucket-load of Wendouree

in the late 80's when I didn't understand how their cellar door system worked and rocked up to find 'sold out' on their barn doors and read how tannic their wines were I let them go - more's the fool me, could have had a nice stash by now

somewhat dismayed as to the amount of auction profiteering and I'm just getting a few to kick-start
if I get lucky with some next year I guess the kids will get to drink them

Auction prices with some bottle age, typically +50-100% of the list prices recently posted here once all 'costs' are included - 16% buyer's premium at Langtons hmmmm ......

of course the Shiraz is typically $150 and up over $200 for 'good' years
