As hinted at by Serfty, the TBIT upgrade is seperate from the Westfield contract.

Westfield's contract is for a 17yr lease and management long-term master concessionaire contract. This contract will see Westfield Concessions Management upgrading and managing 7,828sqm of concession space across LAX, as well as USD 81.9m of initial improvements and an additional USD 16.4m on TBIT, New TBIT, T2 and the Theme Building.

To prevent any conflicts of interest for the parties, neither LA World Airports or Wesfield with either own or operate any of the individual concessions.

They have also been awarded a 5-month contract to design concession concepts for New TBIT.
