Yep that works for me - I'll have a slice of that.

Applied today for Earth Card and automatically approved with mammoth $1,000 limit - no probs - I'll activate the card spend $20 and toss both cards in the drawer for 3 months then cancel.

End of my 3rd month on this card and no Bonus points yet... Only normal points have posted in the third month, but I suspect that the bonus will not be given until I am fully paid up in the third month

Just checked mine, 16,000 bonus points credited. Only transaction was $31 on the Amex, points posted 17th of November for first cycle, bonus points deposited 19th of January, painless!

Now I wonder if I call up to cancel if I can get some of the $75 annual fee refunded on a pro rata basis...

I took the Plat option and 33,000pts appeared in account Jan 18 - only 1 spend $156.00 on Oct 27 - how do you figure that?

Wasn't Plat promo 30,000pts?

tomorrow (20th) is the last day for spend on this card to get bonus points within 3 months. so i'd do it today just to be safe. as far as i know, there was no minimum spend, so a few cans of beetroot should get me the points. assuming they don't make me ineligible for having cancelled another earth card 24hrs before i applied for this one!

Was not a fan of this westpac card when bonus points for Qantas purchases never turned up without a phone call...

However it is refreshing to see the sign up points on time as promised...Well done in this case Westpac...!

So I called up and cancelled today, nice and easy over the phone. Once we got to the end of the process she asked if there was anything else she could do for me. As a matter of fact there was, so I asked her if the annual fee could be refunded pro rata for how many months I had the card. Easy as you like, she gave me $60 back, I just had to give her a BSB and Acc number for it to go in to and will be deposited in 5-7 business days, so will let you know if/when it comes through or if I have to go chasing.

She wasn't going to offer it to me, was only that I asked for it.

If it all works out it will have been 16,000 points for $15!! 0.09 cents per point, crazy, and I thought it was good value at 0.47 cents per point when it was $75!
