When I applied it was granted automatically - initially I applied for Gold by mistake and called them about some matter and they offered me the Plat on the phone - am always chasing SQ points so I took it up.
1 bonus Qantas Frequent Flyer point for every $1 you spend on selected Qantas products and services[SUP]2[/SUP]
Bonus Points with Qantas
2. Selected Qantas products and services are Qantas passenger flights (with a QF flight number) booked directly with Qantas, Qantas Club and Qantas Frequent Flyer memberships, and purchases from Qantas Travel - excludes Jetstar flights and services. You do not earn bonus point on Qantas Freight, Qantas Business Travel, Jetset Travelworld channels and Qantas Staff Travel.
Can anyone confirm they have received bonus point per dollar spent on Qantas flights with this card...? i.e Book flights using the Amex card, and get 2 points per dollar...?
Yes Cruiser Elite is correct about putting Westpac credit cards into credit and still earning points.
The only Westpac card that has any real merit is their Westpac Platinum Kris Flyer Amex as it earn 1.5 points per dollar for SQ Kris.
Every other Westpac card is beaten or matched by others so Westpac is asleep in the drivers seat.
OK the best card for paying Qantas costs is Amex Ultimate for 2.5 points per dollar and no points capping.
There is a pretty generous points start bonus to take care of the first year fee and a free return flight which of course works better from Perth as there is nothing in the way of cities that are close.
There is a thread on American Express Ultimate that is pretty current.
Amex has many cards so you need to read up on which one SUITS YOU rather than me.
I didn't realise it was a 2QFF per $
Quick question, but has anyone actually received their sign on points into their account yet?
I've received my expenditure points but not the sign on points into my QFF account
then again I haven't paid for it yet.
I didn't realise it was a 2QFF per $
Only for Qantas spending, though.
