Westpac dumps AMEX - changes points earn on MC

Not yet......

Westpac Online banking has a message to visit westpac.com.au/SBQ along with a code but I don't know that it is any better than getting the card for non-existing card holders (just the first year free and 15,000 bonus qantas points if you put $3000 on the card in 3 months). Nearly tempted to do it for the points, haven't applied for a new card in a few years now.

I haven't received my email yet. I would be eager to see the details of the new card(s) if anyone is opted-in to Altitude Rewards rather than Qantas currently.

"Also, enjoy 20,000 bonus Qantas Points when you are approved and spend $3,000 on eligible purchases within three months from Card approval1 and $0 Annual Card Fee in the first year2, saving you $199. Make sure you don't miss out - apply by 15 March 2018."

Received last night. My current cards are linked to a line of credit and effectively free, so will call to see how this effects them.

If I'm seeing correctly, there is a range; 15, 20 and 30,000. I fired off an e:mail to WorstPac asking why and we will see what they come up with.

Received my offer via online banking with a 4 digit PIN to use. Unlikely to take it up. Especially concerned that if I take up this new card directly with AMEX that will mean I wont be eligible for other much more generous bonus point offerings on other AMEX products.

Thanks for the heads up...dont normally read those messages.
Got 20000 points sign on bonus letter...had a Black card.
Gonna have to think about this.

40k for me. Not the most exciting offer but at least it’s free. After the initial spend required this card will be kept in the drawer mostly unused same as the current black AMEX.
