Westpac is capping rewards points monthly from June 17th 2013

Over 2 months in and 5 calls where each time I've been promised cards are on their way - and still nothing arrived - joke

I finally rang during the week about the pathetically low points cap. The almost immediately offer to move to the black card for the same annual fee. Also implied I'd continue to earn at the full rate until the black card arrived. My annual fee isn't sue until November so I have a while to decide.

Yeah....I'm still waiting for both the Black Earth and Altitude cards...Didn't get the initial invite and have rung twice and have been assured I have been added to the invite list, and will get them before June 17th....I recently paid the annual fee for both Platinum Plus cards as well:evil:

Mine arrived last Thursday, have been happily using the card ever since. I received the invitation from them a couple of months ago.

Oi, tres sexy. Je suis un rock star! But have you considered you could be earning double the amount of effective points by presenting Amex Plat Edge instead at Coles, Woolies, IGA etc? That's 3 full points per dollar at supermarkets.

That's a little too high on the collective annual fees for the very few points it would yield for me.

WWEDR + Earth Black (when the bloody thing finally arrives) will suit my needs at a fairly low cost.

Looking forward to 1.5 points on the Black MC when overseas.

Has anyone who has activated these cards received the additional cardholder ones yet? If so, how long after activating the primary ones did it take?

Don't need SC runs these days, unless I go for P1 but feedback is underwhelming. SQ suites does sound nice but I'm happy FASA/JASA'ing

In other news, Westpac customer service called today advising my card has been sent and should arrive this week. I will believe it when I see it...

My Altitude Black cards finally arrived today...I expect my Earth Black cards are not too far behind. A distinct "ho hum" moment as Westpac should have just kept the old Platinum Plus cards as all I'm interested in is the 1.5 pts per $ spent on the Amex (not even interested in the ancillary Black benefits). The Altitude Visa has been changed to a MC...the MC has been filed away in my draw never to be used!:shock:
