Such a shame
Yet another card to be churned!
All part of the credit card lifecycle
Very true.
Lets hope a new life is soon to enter the FF world
But I will certainly be sending letter to both Westpac and Sing Air regarding this.
Hopefully all holders of these cards will do the same - emails and written letters - I do not know if a deluge of correspondence all threatening to cancel the cards will have affect but let's all try.
I will cancel my card.I'm glad I have now the citi select which give 1 krisflyer point per 1 $ spent. No cap and no expiring points. Can also opt for qantas at the same rate. Also have an Amex card. So bye bye westpac.

will definately look at all other options when the proposal to scrape mortgage exit fees is enacted next year!
I believe the fine print on that is that it will be for new mortgages only.
AFF Supporters can remove this and all advertisements
That is certainly the wording being used by the politicians. That means..it will have little effect on the banks and sound good to the punters. A beautiful piece of politics.
I don't think you need the physical voucher. When you go to do the online redemption, you will see a drop down box with the 'voucher' available as a discount option.Thing is, we never received a voucher - I'm guessing because in a sense our anniversary never happened. What are our chances do you think of getting one this month? Worth chasing??
In less than 6 months we have now lost the Holden credit card and now the Visa card for Kris flyer.
We were making about double the annual fees for our trading business and soon a big chunk will be gone.
I guess we should enjoy this Visa before it is a dead duck on March 15th.
Suddenly I feel I don't have enough points for the next three years so we had better fix this in the next 90 days..
The Amex part of the card is still attractive as is the card reloading feature of cashing a cheque into the card for immediate use.
