What are the chances of qf flights being released in late Feb early march 2025classic rewards

Hi ,

At the moment i have a jal bookin mel-tokyo
Which im happy with flying
China airlines home via taipei but keeping an eye out for any qf flights direct on classic rewards.
While im happy with the booking just curious if these seats will open up or why none cr have been releases as i uave been checking since jan as the flight days get releasesd.

Thanks for any knowledge on how releases work

They're open. I've seen plenty of Mar seats that got dropped when the CR+ announcement came in. Feb may have already been taken.

Also make sure you check all the eastern coast locations (syd, mel, bne). Not the worst to transit one stop in aus.

If you have been checking since January then you probably already know more than most people. My understanding is that you can no longer predict seat releases. They happen whenever Qantas feels like it. It could be 11 months out, 3 months out or not at all.

The ways to secure a seat that I am aware of are to check the website everday, pay for a subscription to a website to get an alert if a reward seat is released, read AFF everyday to see if someone reports any batch seat releases, become WP so you can manually request a seat to be released. I think that's it.

Lots of new flights have opened though just not qf business

My comments referred to CR business class. The new Classic + muddies the UI quite a bit if you're not paying close attention on the main booking page.

However you will need QF Gold or higher to see these seats. Silver would only let you see ~mid February right now (most of which are likely already snapped up) and Bronze would be much later as well.

Just pulled up a random search.

For reference QF silver sees the flights at 323 days from today bronze at 297 (i think). 323 days from today is Mar 4.

They were the flights i was looking for
I just couldnt see them in my search unless its a recent addiction.
Also im searching 3march and before
So maybe they will show up soon

I wouldn't hope that they're "opened" up soon as they've already been open to higher status tiers for a while and people would've been looking on the day the classic+ was announced over a week ago. Japan is still a hot spot and looking for business awards is still going to be challenging.

You can sign up to paid services which will alert you to seat availability on some of the airlines that QF partners with (not all). Services like expertflyer or seat aero.

What's your current QF status? (The reason I can see the flights later is due to status).
