What are the requirements for the flight dispatcher job in Australia?

I think what you are referring to as a 'Flight dispatcher' is what we would call an 'Air Traffic Controller' (or ATC for short).

Hopefully that might start you in the right direction.
Not quite.

The flight dispatcher in this instance will build the flight plan for us, along with the weather and NOTAM (notice to airmen) packages.

We will then go through it and order the fuel based on what we are given and any other resources.

If you are looking at an air traffic controller,
i did the application about a year ago, Im pretty switched on, and great under pressure and multi tasking,

however, I got to stage 3 , and absolutely flunked the computer test,

that was hard

ATC needs Aust citizenship which is not the same as Aus PR visa.
Your next step would be the 4 RPT major airlines.
One hiccup maybe you will be hard to get an ASIC card, this is a crim and other history check.
Need a drivers license too to get to jobs, as you might have to start work without public transport, or before it starts.
You might also live far from airports to afford rent.
If you can get sponsorship, that is a plus.
FAA does not operate in Aust.
You probably need Aus certification.
Look and confirm sponsorship first.
Aus is not cheap, rent can be $400 per week, even then it's shared a accom, could be kms away from MEL airport.
Best of luck.

Also, as a aside:
If you know your Alpha, Bravo, Charlie to Xray, Yankee, Zulu by heart, that would help a bit too.
VH is the plane rego for Aust.
ZK is the plane rego code for NZ.
ZL can means in the airline code for Rex.

Is this what sometimes is called 'flight planner'? I wonder if the OP is after this kind of a role.
Yes. Flight dispatch is the official term and from what I’ve read is what the OP is after. It’s a 24/7 role that also will be our eyes on the ground for any changes. This is known as flight following.

For instance, if after the flight plan has been filed there has been a change to the fuel requirements at the destination (weather for example that requires extra holding fuel), the dispatcher will contact us to advise of the changes at the destination. This can happen both in the air and on the ground.

I've never seen QF recruiting anyone for this job who wasn't an internal applicant. I'm also pretty sure that all of the planners held the complete swathe of CASA ATPL subjects, though not necessarily with a pilots' licence. Sadly, any qualification you get in Iran is unlikely to be of any value to you here.

If OP gets work sponsorship (visa wise), that is a plus.
But apart from that, he will also need money, lits to start with:
A place to live, maybe Airbnb first, then rent.
Most rental agencies will want payslips, and we (Aussies) fet paid fortnightly, so OP would need money to do maybe Airbnb for the first month or 6 weeks.
Money for food.
Money for Uber to get to job site, then a car to buy, rego, license.
Employer might or might not pay for Aus certification of overseas quals.
A lot to consider.
===
One good thing is OPs English as in writing is very good.

^ I’ve never been paid fortnightly; first job was a very small company with about 8 full-time employees, it was weekly, every other job since has been monthly.

Qantas may however be fortnightly due to public-sector origins.
You’d not want to assume it ‘til you knew it, though.

From my former career experience I can confirm that any degree obtained in Iran is unlikely to be recognised in Australia. You would probably be better to come here as a student and do the necessary studies here.

This link contains information about Aust govt recognition of overseas qualifications.

I guess one positive in terms of career possibilities … people with qualifications from Iran have a much greater tendency to have the skills implied by those qualifications than people with qualifications from quite a few other countries.

The pay is pretty mediocre last time I looked into it (albeit a long time ago now).

You might get more money cutting the sandwiches.

If you have the aptitude for ATC that’s much better pay and a very stable job as long as you keep the dots apart.

Is FAA aircraft dispatcher certificate approved in Australia?
and I want to ask again, I am currently 30 years old. Will I have a chance to be employed in this job at this age?
Thanks

I don’t know if an FAA certificate is enough to get you through. You can only try and apply with the airline/s you want to work for. They will tell you.

And no 30yrs of age is not too old to be a dispatcher. We have some younger and some older. Most have been employed through the company internally into that role and either were pilots who have since lost their medical, or have some kind of pilot training (PPL, CPL, etc).

Best of luck.

Seriously, contact the airlines if you havent done so.
They make the decisions.
For the effort you ask us, maybe one of the airlines could already point you in the right direction.
Jobs for friends is not a big thing here, I mean telling a friend a job is open is one thing, but influencing or forcing is not on.
You do really need sponsorship, as its a very specialized field of work.
You need an ASIC card too, to be able to access restricted areas.
These have to be done through your employer.

Looks like CASA only looks at EU and NZ quals.
FAA not mentioned, so maybe have to study and claim for RPL or Recognition of Prior Learning is needed.

It is illegal in Australia to discriminate against hiring someone for a role based on age except where the requirement is to be an adult (that is over 18), and in some special cases if over official retirement age of 67.

Employers must evaluate candidates based on qualifications, experience and cultural fit for the company.

@AviatorInsight has given you some real world insight as he/she has visibility of people who do that role. Per the ad I posted earlier in this thread it seems being a pilot is an advantage.

But you can also monitor job/recruitment sites to see the size of the opportunity that is how often vacancies are popping up.

The aviation sector is Australia is much smaller than the US or Europe, so manothere may not be constant demand.

Also need to read up on this as well.

Rather than be picky, check out the ads for jobs that are available:
Make them aware, that tho you have the basics, you are willing to learn.
Might not lead anywhere, but still, its something.
All airport related.
Not really flight dispatching, but still aviation/airport related.
If you are really interested in aviation.
Rather than looking solely at MEL airport, look at APAC as a whole, as they operate more than MEL Tullamarine.
Sometimes, they have already got a person on hold, and have to advertise the job.
Need to match the J&P description.
Looking at smaller airports, out of the major capital cities, might be cheaper to live and work, to start with.
Might not be as exciting as MEL/SYD/BNE, and colder, but HBA or LST might be the place to start.
But if you have an airport name as/of/for the sponsor/ship, Saeed, go with that one.
And yes, I do talk a lot of bull.

I trained in accounting, but couldn't get a job in in.
So I went into cleaning.
Now, I still do cleaning, but also into a bit of site security in a school, and am a key holder, for pin alarms, lock up, lights out, locking gates, etc.

For you, the main idea is to start somewhere, either via the sponsorship way or the seek.com.au way, ie, do applications applying.
