What benefits would you like with Velocity?

What I would also like DJ to consider is maybe upgrading Silver members to Gold if they fail to make gold 2 years running. Maybe this could be on a case by case base????????? who knows but something for DJ to consider in my opinion???????????

I can only speak from my experience and that is I have come close the last 2 years.

Good move, but unfortunately will leave me out as we never purchase fully flex or Corp Plus fares.

???

I agree, a small shuffle in the general right direction - but I'm confused who they are trying to target. My BFOD employer won't allow me to charge this, I assume most won't so is DJ expecting employees to foot it? Again the product just isn't worth it.

Might work for smaller businesses with flexibility on travel policies though.

I became a Gold Velocity member without even flying with them once.

How?

Some Virgin rep came and offered all travellng staff with my company free Gold memberships if we changed our travel preferences from QF to DJ. Someone within our management said sure, so DJ gave us 50 free Gold Memberships.

Since then I have flown DJ once, and will only fly them where QF/JQ are not available.

Doesn't matter what they offer, I'll always be loyal to QF (until I attain LTG that is).

Which is why status matches are great! If you use them, they get business, if you don't it only cost a card!

But the arguement about full fares - they suit somepoeple but not everyone. But there are alot fo companies out there that do buy them. One fo my clients ALWAYS buy fully flex regardless... Seems silly to me, but thats their policy

It may be a case where they have a reasonably good deal and there are rebates/discounts on the fully flex fare that makes the cost to the company less than you would first think.

It's not. The guys all pay with their credit cards and expense it back. No corporate travel company. Madness...

Why is it silly?

The guys at the company have a great time, and the end customer pays the bill.

What's silly (or new) about that?
